You paid $110 for a bonwelted shoe, most likely made of heavily corrected leather. There really is not very much positive to say about the pair you bought except that the styling is inoffensive.

Assessment of Gordon Rush as a budget shoe option
If you get them for under $50 they're okay. Johnston Murphy is probably slightly better. LA Milano makes some decent glued shoes on Amazon if you're really on a budget. These should last a season or two if you take care of them. Thrift (or ebay) some Allen Edmonds, Meermin, Taft, beckett simonon if you want a welted shoe that will last years.
