Offcut Studio
Conquerall Mills, Nova Scotia
Cameron MacLean is passionate about wood and design. After studying the sciences in Vancouver, he decided to turn his attention to cabinetmaking and moved to Toronto, where he was shocked by the sheer amount of furniture being left on the curb. Dreaming about everything he could do with the used wood, he started collecting them. And so Offcut Studio was born, right in the middle of the 2000s. For more than 10 years, the designer fine-tuned his craft under the tutelage of some of the city's biggest artisans before moving to Nova Scotia. Captivated by the essence of the local wood, he felt inspired to make unique, and limited-edition pieces.. At its core, his brand stands for being eco-friendly, while his creative choices are all founded upon making something timeless.
