Mano verde came into Joëlle Paquet's life like a breath of fresh air. Founded in 2005, the company needed plenty of restructuring and love, as did Joëlle, who had just completed years of art history and photography studies without any definite career plans. After working in restaurants and bars to pay for her education, she rolled up her sleeves and dived head first into a brand new adventure. Her mission? Promote urban agriculture by encouraging people to plant their own crops and cut down on their packaged and imported product purchases, as well as their waste and use of plastics. Together with her team, she makes sure to use biodegradable, renewable, and recyclable materials approved for organic agriculture as much as possible.
