Le point visible
Bedford, Quebec
Marilyn Armand is not only the face of, but the magic hands behind Le point visible. She merges comfort and colour, just like her seamstress grandmother and aunts before her. With an innate curiosity and a love for fabrics and textures, she joined the Farmers Circle of Cowansville, which awoke her passion for quilt making. From that point on, she never stopped exploring and perfecting her art. Today, she carries on a traditional know-how passed down from past generations of women from Quebec. That is, she wastes nothing and collects textile scraps (with an already rich history) and sews them into modern cushions, throws, and blankets that aren't only chock full of character, but made locally and responsibly.
