La Vie en Verre
Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick
Seeing life through rose-tinted glasses, but with both feet on the ground. The name of Stephanie Couturier's studio was inspired by Édith Piaf's famous song, “La vie en rose.” Through her stained glass pieces, the glassmaker adds colour to our decor, while addressing social, mental health, and climate change issues. What could be more inspiring than a piece of glass illuminated by sunlight? Stephanie is a self-taught artist guided by her own curiosity and sense of adventure. She therefore makes her craft her own by putting aside traditional stained glass-making rules, reinventing techniques, and experiments with various welding methods and abstract shapes. The result is bright, joyful, and always optimistic.
