Amos Pewter
Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia
Since 1974, the artisans of this small workshop on the shores of Halifax have kept traditional pewtersmithing alive, while adding a distinctive, seascape-inspired touch to the art. They carefully heat, mould, carve, and shear the metal with expert skill, shaping refined and moving creations to enhance tables, decors, and wardrobes. Amos Pewter was the first workshop in Nova Scotia to become a member of the Réseau International des Économusées, which helps promote crafts and traditional expertise.
