Great shoe, bit snug but it adjusts
I've been wearing birkenstocks for years, but the gizeh model. i decided to try the Arizona style and liked the look of the big buckle for more of a statement shoe. i found when i measured my foot on the guide in the box, it was recommending i go to a size 42 (vs 41 which i bought). I am a size 10 (40) in regular shoes, and 41 for gizeh model has always been perfect it has felt like it stretched out a bit, and i really didnt want to return it as a bigger size is hard to find.

I have many pairs of Berks. I am in total love with these.

The leather is stiff (as is common in patent leather) so I’m hoping it will soften up. Otherwise the fit is perfect for me and the oversized gold buckles are a nice detail.

Break-in discomfort and filing solution for high shine Arizonas
The straps do cut into your feet from the bottom ! I sanded them lightly with a nail file for comfort ! Now wearing them around the house to break in ! It’s working for me !

I love, love, love my high-shine, big buckle black Arizonas. They're my go-to work shoe in spring/summer/fall. They do take longer to break in and they're never going to be as comfortable as a pair of oiled leather Arizonas with the suede footbed, but they're worth it in my opinion, and I wear them for different reasons.

Comfortable out of the box with narrow sizing
These are actually my only pair of Arizonas! So i have no comparison point. They are extremely comfortable though and I didn’t have a problem breaking them in. I have a narrow foot so i ordered them in narrow.
