Product Insights

The Swarovski Matrix Tennis Bracelet, priced at $279 but available for $99.95, features a DNA-inspired design with rhodium-plated base metal and pink cubic zirconia. It offers high reflectivity and is hypoallergenic, but the rhodium plating shows wear after 6–12 months of daily use and the CZ stones dull from micro-scratches, making it best suited for occasional wear. The fixed 17.5 cm length cannot be adjusted and the clasp may snag, yet the stones are micro-laser engraved for authenticity and produced with renewable energy.

Verified claims

Plating
Rhodium plating shows wear after 6–12 months of daily wear.
Stones
Cubic zirconia stones dull from micro-scratches with daily wear.
Long-term wear
Best suited for occasional wear; outclassed by moissanite or diamonds for daily use.
Durability
Swarovski Zirconia has a Mohs hardness of 8.5 and can be set by heat-based methods without adhesives, but daily wear may dull the stones; for long-term daily use, moissanite or diamond settings are more durable.
Material
Rhodium-plated base metal with pink CZ; moissanite is more scratch-resistant.
Value
Sale price CAD 99.95; best suited for occasional wear and as a temporary piece before fine jewelry.
Design inspiration
Bracelet inspired by DNA, with stones precisely placed to shine.
Tarnish resistance
Rhodium does not tarnish and needs only occasional dry cloth cleaning.
Reflectivity
Rhodium's 80% reflectivity makes stones appear brighter.
Hypoallergenic
Rhodium is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin.
Occasions
At CAD 99.95, it is a good choice for special events or as a temporary piece before fine jewelry.
Size fit
The bracelet's fixed 17.5 cm length fits average wrists; no resizing available for larger wrists.
Sizing
ONE SIZE fixed at 17.5 cm — cannot be adjusted and may not fit larger or smaller wrists.
Clasp
Buyers report the clasp is secure but can snag on clothing or hair.
Care instructions
Clean with mild soapy water and a soft cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals and ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
Sustainability
Swarovski Zirconia produced with 78% renewable energy and set without adhesives.
Traceability
Microscopic laser engraving on each stone verifies Swarovski Zirconia origin.
Authenticity
Micro-laser engraving guarantees genuine Swarovski Zirconia without impairing brilliance.
Stone cut
The bracelet's cubic zirconia stones use Swarovski's Pure Brilliance Cut, with 57 facets cut to GIA ideal diamond-cut parameters for diamond-like brilliance.
Setting design
The stone settings are engineered to minimize metal obstruction and maximize light refraction, enhancing the stones' brilliance and fire compared to a typical bezel setting.
Setting method
Because Swarovski Zirconia withstands temperatures up to 2750°C, the stones can be set by heat-based methods without adhesives, avoiding glue yellowing or crumbling and giving a more secure hold.

Compared To

vs Moissanite

Moissanite is widely recommended over Swarovski for its superior hardness, scratch resistance, and lasting sparkle, often at a comparable or lower price.

vs Lab diamonds and mined diamonds

Lab and mined diamonds are suggested as the most durable option for daily wear, but at a higher cost; Swarovski is seen as a budget alternative.

  • Detailed experience with Swarovski tennis bracelets and comparison to moissanite

I have two Swarovski tennis bracelets. They are very well made. They're sturdy and the clasp is secure. They have not broken despite months of constant wear. The yellow gold finish, however, has worn off which is not unexpected given it's just a coating. The "white gold" one is just as good as when I got it. Would I recommend them as a cheaper alternative to the "real" thing? Yes. All this comes with a ... however ... I have noticed my zirconia bracelets dull over time. The stones, I mean. I then realised it's because the stones are getting scratched. Tiny, tiny scratches from daily use but leads to a dulling over time. I switched to Moissanite. Oh my days, the difference!! Hard as diamond, Moissanite doesn't scratch, doesn't dull. So sparkly. All. The. Time. The ones I'm wearing are from Attagems on DHGate. But again, the plating has faded. So. For daily wear, I'd absolutely recommend splashing out on a solid gold setting especially if you like rose or yellow gold. And I'd go for Moissanite, lab or mined diamonds for the scratch resistance and sparkle.

  • Swarovski criticized as overpriced costume jewelry

Don't buy Swarovski. They're extremely overpriced costume jewelry. Check out etsy for moissanite bracelets. Find a shop with *lots* of reviews and Google lens their pictures to make sure they're legit. There's also more lab diamond companies that are putting out options in silver because gold is so crazy.
