Product Insights
Simons Maison's Flowering Strawberries Kitchen Mat, from Canada's oldest family retailer (1840), offers an exclusive in-house strawberry pattern on a compact 46x76 cm viscoelastic cushion that reduces leg fatigue but is too thin for chronic foot pain. It resists spills and cleans with a damp cloth, though colors appear less vivid than online, and printed motifs may rub off if not handled gently — a tradeoff for its low-cost, seasonal cottage charm.
Verified claims
- Value
- Canada's oldest family retailer (1840), still family-run after five generations.
- Design exclusivity
- Original Simons Maison in-house strawberry pattern, exclusive and not found elsewhere.
- Cushioning
- Buyers report the foam cushioning reduces leg fatigue during long standing and describe the mat as comfortable though not super thick.
- Durability
- Buyers report printed motifs rubbing off on new mats; damp-cloth cleaning preserves it.
- Print color
- Some buyers report colors are a bit duller in person than the online photo, while others say the print matches the picture.
- Cleaning
- Only a damp cloth is recommended; soap, water, or abrasive scrubbing may damage the vinyl or foam.
- Spill resistance
- The vinyl top is waterproof, so everyday spills sit on the surface and can be wiped or blotted away without staining the print.
- Cottage decor
- Buyers describe it as a low-cost, comfortable seasonal accent ideal for summer cottage kitchens.
- Easy care
- Vinyl top resists liquid absorption and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
- Compact size
- At 46x76 cm, the mat fits a single sink or stove, ideal for compact cottage kitchens.
- Comfort and fit
- Viscoelastic cushion and sink-stove size suit seasonal cottages.
- Design origin
- The strawberry pattern is designed by Simons Maison's in-house studio in Quebec City, Canada, rather than being a licensed graphic or generic import.
- Coordinating pieces
- The mat shares its exclusive strawberry artwork with the Simons Maison Wild Strawberries doormat, so the two can be used together for a coordinated strawberry theme.
- Foam protection
- The vinyl top is fused to the foam as a waterproof cover, so spills stay on the surface instead of seeping into the foam and causing a flattened feel.

Cushioned comfort for standing at the sink
This vinyl kitchen mat with a viscoelastic foam backing is meant to add a soft, comfortable layer on hard floors while you stand in one spot washing dishes or prepping meals. Reviewers report the padding eases leg fatigue during long stints at the sink, though one noted the moderate thickness may not suit all-day standing for those needing orthopedic support.[1]
Adding a summery accent to the kitchen
This small mat brings a strawberry-and-blossom print on a sage green background to brighten a neutral kitchen with a seasonal, summery touch. Reviews describe the vibrant pattern as a cheerful pop of color that kids and adults enjoy. Some buyers noted the print may fade or colors can look duller in person, so vividness can vary.[1]
Cleaning up kitchen spills with a quick wipe
A small kitchen mat for spots where spills and everyday messes happen. The wipeable surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth, which reviewers report makes quick work of kitchen spills and keeps it looking fresh.[1]
Comfort and charm for a cottage kitchen
This strawberry-patterned mat can add comfort underfoot and a decorative touch to the kitchen of a vacation cottage, rental, or seasonal second home. It suits the kind of easy styling people look for when furnishing a home they use part of the year.[1]

| Flowering Strawberries Kitchen Mat 46 X 76 Cm: Choose this if you want a wipeable vinyl kitchen mat that adds a summery strawberry print on a muted sage-green background, with a viscoelastic foam backing that most reviewers say eases leg fatigue during long stints at the sink. It measures 18 by 30 inches (46 by 76 cm) with a textured woven top, textured non-slip underside, and a piped edge. Note the cushioning is moderate rather than a deep memory-foam mat, and some buyers found leaf motifs fading or rubbing off and colors duller than the online photos.[1,2,3] | Fresh Oranges Kitchen Mat 46 X 76 Cm: Choose this if you want a small, easy-care accent for a hard kitchen floor: this vinyl mat (100% polyvinyl chloride) pairs a viscoelastic foam backing intended for a soft, comfortable feel underfoot with a surface that wipes clean with a damp cloth. Its printed light-blue face features an allover orange-fruit, leaf, and blossom motif, and the mat measures 18 by 30 inches (46 by 76 cm) with rounded corners. Note that it is a thin, flexible mat, so it is best suited to lighter cushioning rather than plush support.[4,5,6] | Tomatoes Kitchen Mat 46 X 76 Cm: Choose this if you want a small, wipe-clean accent mat for a kitchen sink or counter: it measures 18 by 30 inches (46 x 76 cm), has a light cream or white top printed with an all-over tomato motif in red, orange and green, and is made of vinyl with a viscoelastic foam backing that the seller says gives a soft, comfortable feel on hard floors. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, has a subtle textured surface, and is a Simons Maison design made in Canada. Note that the comfort underfoot is the seller's stated intended effect rather than a verified experience, and the evidence does not confirm any non-slip backing.[7,8,9] |
