Product Insights
The Sisine Indoor-Outdoor Portable Lamp is a low accent piece (72 cm tall) with a hand-woven hemp shade that casts a candle-like, dappled glow with intricate shadow patterns. Its core promise is portable, steplessly dimmable ambiance via a magnetic bulb and IR remote, covering 18 m² with a 200° beam. The main tradeoff is runtime versus brightness: 20 hours at lowest setting, under 3 hours at full, plus the remote requires line of sight and the lamp is only for covered outdoor use, not rainproof or freeze-safe, and charging must use exactly 5V 1A to avoid damage.
Verified claims
- Accent classification
- The Sisine's 72 cm height is less than half that of a standard floor lamp (58-68 in), making it a low accent piece.
- Footprint
- The 19-inch diameter shade requires ample clearance; the 28.3-inch height works best as a low accent on broad surfaces or the floor rather than as a standard-height floor lamp.
- Placement
- Place 6–12 inches from a wall for sharp shadow patterns, or in open space for a 360° light-scape.
- Dimming
- Brightness is adjustable via the included infrared remote, so the lamp can be dimmed for dining and brightened for cleanup without a smartphone app.
- Magnetic bulb
- The magnetic bulb detaches for USB charging and self-aligns on reinstallation; attachment is a one-second, one-handed motion.
- Remote
- IR remote adjusts brightness but requires line of sight to the lamp.
- Outdoor use
- The lamp is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, but only in sheltered outdoor conditions: keep it under a roof, out of prolonged direct sunlight and heavy rain, and avoid storing it in unheated spaces during winter.
- Material care
- Woven hemp shade absorbs moisture and fades in sun; clean gently with dry cloth.
- Cleaning
- Clean with a soft dry cloth or brush; never use chemicals.
- Weathering
- Place under a roof outdoors, avoid prolonged direct sunlight, and for winter keep the lamp dry and out of unheated spaces.
- Power input
- Charge only from a 5V USB supply; Newgarden specifies 5V/1A as the maximum, and chargers delivering 9V or more can permanently damage the lamp.
- Battery
- 20-hour runtime only at dimmest, under 3 hours at full; battery lasts 700 cycles.
- Light character
- The openwork hemp weave produces a warm, dappled glow rather than a uniform beam.
- Beam angle
- 200° beam angle covers 18 m² at 50 lux.
- Ambient coverage
- 200° beam and 18 m² coverage create a diffuse ambient wash, not a directional task light.
- Handmade
- The Sisine is manufactured in Spain using handmade processes and locally sourced natural materials.
- Materials
- Hemp fibres hand-woven into a natural shade, adding a tactile organic feel.
- Light effect
- Openwork weave casts intricate shadow patterns for a decorative glow.
- Initial charge
- First-use charge must be at least 8 hours to achieve full runtime.
- Cordless operation
- The Sisine is cordless and rechargeable, powered by a magnetically attached USB-rechargeable bulb that runs up to 20 hours per charge.
- Color temperature
- The rechargeable Sisine uses a 3000K warm-white LED; the 2700K figure appears on other Newgarden models and retailer listings, not this battery version.
- Peak brightness
- At full output the LED produces about 900 lumens and consumes 9 watts.
- Charging accessories
- The lamp ships with a micro-USB charging cable but no power adapter, so the owner must supply or purchase an appropriate 5V 1A USB adapter.
- Battery maintenance
- If the lamp is stored unused for extended periods, the battery should be recharged every three months to prevent deep discharge damage and preserve runtime.
- Bulb replacement
- The rechargeable Sisine uses a proprietary magnetic LED bulb rather than a standard screw-in fixture, so it cannot be swapped for an off-the-shelf bulb; replacement parts and service are available from Nüline Distribution.
- Charging time
- A full USB charge takes roughly 4–6 hours and provides up to 20 hours of runtime depending on brightness; the Sisine is designed to recharge between uses rather than run while tethered to USB.
- Remote functions
- The included remote controls on/off and brightness only; no timer function is listed, and effective range is not published but is expected to be a few metres with clear line of sight.
- Weight and stability
- The Sisine weighs about 2.4 kg and stands 72 cm tall with a 48 cm shade diameter; at that height it is designed to rest on the floor rather than a typical table, and the exact base footprint is not published, so place it on a level, solid surface.

Ambient lighting for a living room or sheltered patio
This freestanding woven floor lamp adds a warm, ambient glow to indoor spaces like a living room or to sheltered outdoor settings such as a covered terrace, with an IP54 rating for indoor and outdoor use. Light shines through the natural-fibre weave, casting soft striped shadows on nearby floors and walls. The manufacturer recommends keeping it in a sheltered spot outdoors, away from prolonged direct sun and rain, to preserve the fibres.[1,3,5,6,7]
Lighting spaces cordlessly on battery power
This portable indoor-outdoor lamp runs on battery power, so it can be moved between spots without needing a power cable. It provides up to 20 hours of use per charge and recharges via USB, with a Micro USB charging cable included (power adapter not sold with it; the manufacturer says to use a 5V 1A max adapter, since higher voltage may irreparably harm the lamp).[3,4,5]
Quick cordless lighting with a detachable portable bulb
The rechargeable Sisine lamp includes a portable 900-lumen bulb with a magnetized base. To set it up, simply bring the bulb close to the lamp and the magnetic base fastens it securely, making for quick, tool-free attachment. The bulb can also be taken out and used on its own as a portable light.[1]
Adjust brightness from a distance with the included remote
The Sisine lamp comes with an IR remote control, so you can turn the light on and off and adjust its intensity without walking over to the lamp. That's handy for an indoor-outdoor portable light you may have placed across a patio or up on a shelf.[1,2]

| Sisine Indoor-Outdoor Portable Lamp 72 Cm Tall: Choose this if you want a cordless, rechargeable accent lamp for living areas, patios, and sheltered outdoor settings: it is an IP54-rated 72 cm (28.25 inches) tall woven hemp lamp with a metallic base, and the included dimmable 900-lumen LED bulb attaches magnetically for quick setup, with up to 20 hours of use per charge and a remote for adjusting intensity. Its open, geometric weave in shades of white casts a warm 2700K light through the strands for a cozy, resort-like ambiance. Note that the manufacturer advises keeping it in a sheltered area away from prolonged direct sun and rain to preserve the natural fibres, and the included Micro USB cable requires a 5V 1A max adapter, which is not included.[1,2,3,5,6] | Niza Tall Indoor And Outdoor Floor Lamp: Choose this if you want a tall, cord-free arc floor lamp (about 90.5 inches high with an 80 cm hand-braided natural-fibre shade) that moves easily between living room and patio, with a dimmable warm-white LED bulb, roughly 900 lumens, up to 20 hours of use per USB charge, and an included remote plus a wall-mount accessory that turns the arch into a second, wall-mounted light. Note that the manufacturer recommends sheltered outdoor spots away from heavy rain to protect the natural fibres, charging only with a 5V 1A max adapter to avoid irreparable damage, and indoor storage rather than an unheated winter space.[8,9,10,11] | Chloe Indoor-Outdoor Floor Lamp: Choose this if you want a portable floor lamp that moves between the living room and the patio: it can stand on its white metal base or be poked into the ground, and it recharges by solar power or USB for 2 to 20 hours of light depending on use and charging method. Its dimmable LED offers both white and coloured light, a built-in sensor turns it on automatically at dusk (overridable with the included remote), and its UV-resistant polyethylene shade, wooden stem, and roughly 5-foot-1-inch height suit minimalist indoor-outdoor styling. Note that the manufacturer advises avoiding prolonged standing exposure of the wooden legs to heavy rain or constant moisture and moving the lamp to shelter during severe weather.[12,13,14,15] |
