Under Armour
6" Black Jersey Performance Boxer Briefs Boxerjock® 3-Pack
Under Armour 6-inch Boxerjock boxer briefs (3-pack) are performance underwear made from a stretchable cotton-polyester-spandex blend (57% cotton, 38% polyester, 5% spandex) with a fly, elastic waistband, seamless anti-chafing construction, and a 6-inch inseam. Designed for athletic activities, high-intensity workouts, and everyday wear, these briefs wick moisture to keep skin dry while maintaining a snug, flexible fit. User reviews highlight strong support during exercise, though some recent online feedback has noted durability concerns with fabric thinning or seam fraying.

Product Insights
Under Armour's 6" Black Jersey Performance Boxerjock® 3-Pack delivers intense workout security with a seamless, pouchless fit that eliminates chafing, outperforming Saxx and David Archy for high-intensity movements like burpees and squats, while wicking sweat and offering an athletic, non-full-compression feel that some find smothering. Its cotton-rich blend (57% cotton) prioritizes softness over maximum moisture wicking, and at a sale per-pair cost of ~$13.30 (far less than competitors), value is strong, but premature wear—including holes, thinning, and seam fraying—is a durability tradeoff.
Verified claims
- Durability
- Multiple users report that recent 3-packs develop holes and thin fabric quickly, unlike older Boxerjock versions that lasted years.
- Workout support
- Keeps everything secure during burpees, squats, and CrossFit.
- Comfort
- Moisture-wicking jersey fabric and a seamless anti-chafing design help keep skin dry and reduce seam friction during wear.
- Performance
- Outperforms Saxx and David Archy for high-intensity workouts.
- Value
- 3-pack sale price $39.95 yields ~$13.30/pair, far less than Saxx at $40/pair.
- Per-pair cost
- At $39.95 sale (29% off list), per-pair cost is $13.32, undercutting Saxx by 60%.
- Compression balance
- Athletic, flexible fit without full compression; the stretch cotton-polyester blend is designed for a snug fit without squeeze.
- Chafing
- The one-piece seamless design eliminates side and back seams, the typical chafe points in stitched underwear, and reduces friction during long runs.
- Material
- Cotton-rich blend (57% cotton) trades some moisture wicking for softness.
- Fit
- Seamless snug fit prevents chafing and stays in place during exercise.
- Brand heritage
- Debuted 2011 with Cam Newton, later broadened to everyday use.
- Pouchless design
- Seamless front panel prevents chafing, avoids pouch seams of competitors.
- Fly design
- These boxer briefs have a functional fly as listed in product features; Under Armour typically uses a vertical fly design in the Boxerjock line, though orientation is not specified in product data.
- Breathability
- The cotton-rich jersey is described as breathable with a broken-in feel compared with synthetic performance fabrics.
- Softness
- The jersey knit has a soft, broken-in feel and is positioned for everyday softness rather than synthetic performance texture.

Chafe-free comfort on runs and workouts
These Under Armour Boxerjock boxer briefs are geared toward running and athletic activity, with a tight, athletic fit that reviewers report keeps everything in place. The stretch jersey wicks moisture, and one reviewer says they didn't chafe even on hot runs lasting over two hours. Note the design has no pouch, which some may miss.[2,3,5]
Everyday comfort with a seam-free design
These 6-inch Boxerjock boxer briefs are designed for all-day wear in a stretch cotton-polyester jersey, with no side or back seams for an anti-chafing fit and moisture-wicking fabric. A reviewer found they minimized the compression discomfort typical of boxer briefs, though some of that snug feeling was still present.[4,5,6]
Everyday pairs meant to hold up to washing — with mixed long-term reports
These boxer briefs are positioned for daily wear, with one reviewer describing a durable seamless design that reportedly holds its shape and doesn't wear thin through heavy use and months of wash cycles. However, a customer who bought the 6-inch 3-pack reported all three pairs developing holes and see-through thinning in under a year, so long-term durability experiences vary.[1,2]

| 6" Black Jersey Performance Boxer Briefs Boxerjock® 3-Pack: Choose these if you want a snug, athletic boxer brief with a 6-inch inseam that stays close without feeling like a compression short — the soft stretch jersey (57% cotton, 38% polyester, 5% spandex) wicks moisture and the anti-chafing seamless design with a fly and elastic waistband suits daily wear or workouts. The black 3-pack comes in Medium, Large, and X-Large, and reviewers report the one-piece design holds up through heavy use and repeated washing, though one 2025 buyer saw all three pairs develop holes and thin out within a year, and some wearers may still notice slight compression discomfort.[1,2,3,4,5] | 6" Black Performance Boxer Briefs Boxerjock® 3-Pack: Choose this if you want performance boxer briefs with a snug, flexible fit, moisture-wicking fabric, and a 6-inch inseam in black, available in sizes medium through XX-large. The soft stretch microfibre is a 90% recycled polyester and 10% elastane blend, with a contoured front pouch, fly, and wide elastic waistband. Note that one wearer reported the fabric of a 2025 three-pack developing holes and thinning within a year, though the same model they bought in 2023 is still going strong.[1,7,8,9] | 6" Stretch Microfibre Boxer Brief Boxerjock® Ballbag: Choose this if you want a fitted, mid-thigh boxer brief with a supportive front pouch: the Inner BallBag uses a patent-pending pouch design that Under Armour says separates and holds without squeeze, with the aim of eliminating chafing and improving breathability. The soft 90% polyester / 10% spandex microfibre body (main body fabric at least 80% recycled polyester, excluding trims) is described as lightweight and durable, with pinhole mesh zones for ventilation and biocide-free odor control technology. A Reddit commenter called these the most comfortable of many synthetic boxers he has tried, though the chafing- and comfort-related outcomes are brand or personal-experience claims rather than verified results.[10,11,12,13,14] |

vs Saxx
UA compression shorts provide better support for workouts than Saxx, which some find inadequate for high-movement exercise.
vs David Archy
David Archy boxer briefs are comfortable but lack the support needed for workouts compared to UA.

UA compression shorts outperform Saxx and David Archy for workouts
Saxx are pretty nice, but I’ll say they are very expensive and don’t offer much advantage over other brands I have. The ballpark pouch is kind of a gimmick in my personal opinion. I really like the David Archy boxer briefs from Amazon. Adding on, I don’t think either Saxx or David Archy provide enough support for a workout. I started using Under Armour compression shorts last year and won’t workout without them anymore!

Quality decline in 6-inch 3-pack Boxerjocks
Bought the 6" 3-pack in 2025 and all developed holes and fabric became see-through thin after less than a year.

Fraying and holes in recent 3-pack Boxerjocks
Quality also going downhill it seems. Been using the 9 inch boxerjocks for several years. Just received a 3-pack, and every single one of them had fraying or holes around the seams after a few days of use, which is unacceptable

UA Boxerjock minimizes discomfort but still compresses
Yeah, it's a give and a take. Thing about BBs is they always compress your junk, and I hate being smothered like that. Boxer shorts don't do that so badly. As I mentioned above, the UAs did a good job minimizing that discomfort, but it's still there.
