Product Insights
Artza & Co.'s Alba Wallpaper Strip delivers commercial-grade 6-mil vinyl peel-and-stick at 65 CAD per panel, undercutting premium options by 40-50%. Its opaque, matte, woven-textured film blocks dark walls in one layer, resists moisture, and hides small flaws while maintaining crisp stripe alignment via a 24.5-inch repeat and 0.5-inch overlap. The thick material allows repositioning during installation and clean removal from smooth paint, but requires 24-hour acclimation to prevent shrinkage gaps and performs best on smooth or lightly textured walls, with potential lifting on matte or fresh paint.
Verified claims
- Value
- 65 CAD per panel undercuts premium peel-and-stick by 40-50%.
- Material
- 6-mil commercial-grade adhesive vinyl resists tearing, seam shrinkage, and blocks wall color.
- Installation
- Thick vinyl allows repositioning; smooth walls are ideal, lightly textured walls like fine orange peel are acceptable, and the material is suitable for bathrooms and kitchens with occasional humidity.
- Finish
- Matte finish avoids glare; woven texture adds fabric-like depth.
- Opacity
- Completely opaque; covers dark or patterned walls in one layer and hides stains or uneven paint without primer or a second coat.
- Durability
- 6-mil thickness helps prevent seam gaps, tears, and scuffs versus thinner 4–5 mil vinyl, and the surface resists moisture.
- Application
- Easy to install, reposition, and remove; acclimation recommended.
- Commercial grade standard
- Commercial-grade rating references Federal Specification CCC-W-408D, which requires passing tests for color fastness, washability, scrubbability, abrasion resistance, stain resistance, and mildew resistance.
- Texture
- Raised woven texture casts micro-shadows and hides small wall flaws, creating a fabric-like visual depth.
- Print quality
- High-definition print keeps stripes crisp on textured substrate while weave softens edges for hand-painted look.
- Acclimation
- Let panels rest 24 hours in the room before installation to prevent shrinkage gaps.
- Wall prep
- Applies to smooth or lightly textured walls without primer; raised texture conceals small imperfections.
- Surface compatibility
- Smooth, dry walls give the most reliable adhesion; heavy textures like stucco or popcorn are not recommended, and adhesion is not guaranteed on textured walls.
- Removal
- Removes cleanly from smooth, properly painted walls; may pull paint on matte or fresh paint, especially after long-term use.
- Pattern alignment
- 24.5-inch pattern repeat and 0.5-inch overlap enable seamless stripe alignment
- Value
- At an effective $5.50 USD per square foot, this wallpaper undercuts Tempaper's $7–$11 self-adhesive vinyl by about 40–50% while matching peel-and-stick convenience and adding 6-mil thickness and a commercial-grade rating.
- Dimensional stability
- Reinforced vinyl resists stretching and curling during installation, so panels stay flat and the vertical stripes stay true across multiple panels.
- Cleanability
- The commercial-grade vinyl resists fading and can be cleaned far more aggressively than typical residential wallpaper.
