Product Insights
At $19, the Fine Textured Ring from Simons offers the same stainless steel core and 2mm width as more expensive stacking bands, with a delicate matte grain finish that hides scratches and fingerprints. Its lightweight design and nickel-safe core reduce skin irritation and prevent green discoloration, but the gold plating visibly wears in 3–6 months of daily use and cannot be replated; damage requires full replacement as the brand does not provide repair service, making it suitable for occasional wear.

I have purchased at least 3 pieces that turned out to not be gold. A morganite necklace setting gold came off ,a chain and a ring that were not gold as advertised.

Warning about hollow or thin gauge of a 2mm Ross Simons ring
Based on the listed weight from the link, it could be hollow or a very thin gauge. 2mm is just the width, the weight is 0.7 grams. I agree with you get what you pay for.
