Product Insights

Paul Smith's Mini-Fruit Dress Socks are Italian-made statement socks knit in the Castel Goffredo hosiery district, offering one of over 100 seasonal designs featuring fruit icons. The fine-gauge 80% organic cotton knit delivers a smooth, silky handfeel and stretch recovery that, combined with 2% spandex, keeps the vibrant pattern and shape intact after 20+ washes, outperforming Uniqlo or Polo in durability. Designed for dress wear, they lie smooth under tailored trousers. The main tradeoff is the $39 CAD price, a conscious splurge for statement wear rather than everyday basics, and the need for gentle care—machine wash cold and air dry to preserve longevity.

I just refreshed my socks. Went with Darn Tough socks for casual stuff, really great quality wool socks. Made in the US in Vermont. I went with Paul Smith for dress/statement socks.

  • Paul Smith socks hold up better than Uniqlo/Polo after many washes

I know, I know, $14 is still a lot for a pair of socks and there are undoubtedly cheaper alternatives out there - but if these are your thing they are very rarely this heavily discounted. For what it's worth, I wear dress socks every day and I find these hold up much better than a lot of other socks like uniqlo/polo etc. after 20+ wears/washes.
