Wash them with white vinegar to remove excessive lint shedding away. For the black ones in particular since it can obviously be seen more. Smooth texture, nice feeling, good durability.

These socks appear to be well made and I like the fabric. These socks are 90 % cotton & breathe pretty well . It's not easy to find socks that are mostly made of cotton . The one thing I would mention is that the One Size Fits all that if you have size 12 or higher feet these probably won't fit you . My feet are 11.5 to 12 depending on the shoe and these socks are a little snug .

I was very pleasantly surprised to find these socks which are 90% cotton in world where 90% of socks available are synthetic (i.e. polyester , acrylic,etc). Not only are synthetics destroying the planet but also our health as they're getting into our food and water systems. These socks are one of the highest cotton content socks available and I hope Simon's strives to further increase the cotton content and set a benchmark as an industry leader. One complaint I have is that hooks used to hold the pairs together are made of plastic and are not recyclable to my knowledge. An easy solution would be to replace these with a thick cardboard/paper-based tag and use cotton string to tie them together.

Get him to trim his nails and moisturize!! My bf was tearing through socks until we realized it’s because of the friction from his square nails and dry heels. You also want something that’s more nylon/spandex like [these ankle ones](https://PromoWave.github.io/Pro/?q=B08VDTPHRQ). Adidas/hanes are just a cotton-polyster blend which fall apart after the fourth wash or so (tho I found their lifetime to be increased if I air dryed them instead of in the machine). If smell's an issue for you the nylon ones tend to swick sweat off the surface cos its not a very absorbant material, so there's a tradeoff in terms of feeling your sweat squelch a little but having no odors oozing out. I'd also suggest sizing up on the ones I linked since they run a little small.
