Initial impression of Adidas BW Army shoes
Material wise the outer material feels exactly like the classic Stan Smith (not as good as the tumbled leather my Stan Smiths from the pics have). The suede feels ok although it's very difficult to tell good from bad suede I know. The inside of the shoe is just puffy synthetic so no leather here. Overall I'm satisfied with the quality and the purchase. The material might not be as good as of the tumbled leather Stans but it is adequate to the price and I really love the low profile design and the gumsoles.

Comfortable for all-day wear and travel
Wouldn't say they're new and or incredibly trendy but I wore these on a recent trip and have no complaints, way more comfortable to walk in than most non running shoes

Comparison to MM GATs and overall satisfaction
I wear Stan Smiths in US10.5 and ordered the same size in these and they fit great. Overall I'm really happy with these. I have the MM GATs which of course are higher quality but they killed my heel like crazy and never got comfortable for walking around. I got original old Bundeswehr Hallenschuhe at some point and they were also crazy uncomfortable and flat. These Adidas BW's are fantastic so far. Surprisingly good quality leather and heel cushion, look and feel much more premium than Stan Smiths. Let's see how they hold up but for now they seem like the sweet spot between Stan Smith / Club 85 affordability and comfort, and premium minimalist GAT style.

I like this more than my Hartcopy pair 😍the panel on the toe looks more like smooth suede texture, and I especially love the cracked leather texture around the heel.

Cracked leather on standard vs Decon quality
I like the cracked leather on the standard edition but the leather quality on the decons is better imo. Softer, more supple, and as someone with a larger foot, the decon versions of adidas shoes fit way better than their counterpart in the same size due to the softer leather.

Sehr schöne Schuh , echt cool , ich hab mir ein paar bestellt, so sehr gefreut und nach paar Sekunden hab gemerkt was für Schmerzen mir die schuhzunge mir gegeben hat, unglaublich !!!! ! Warum so laaaaange Zunge ? Echt schade . Retoure !
