Product Insights
The Revive Quick Shoe-Cleaning Kit from Jason Markk is a premium, eco-conscious cleaning system centered on a USDA 97% bio-based and EPA Safer Choice certified foam cleaner that conditions leather, lifts dirt from white stitching, and is safe on delicate knit, mesh, and suede if used carefully. A soft hog-hair bristle brush protects uppers while a hard brush handles midsoles, but the included full-sized brush is a luxury over cheaper alternatives like a toothbrush. Though the citrus scent divides buyers and the accompanying wipes are ineffective, the 4oz bottle lasts 18 months with daily use, costing under 10 cents per clean—offering exceptional value for frequent cleaning at the trade-off of the brush's premium cost and potentially altered suede texture.
- Identity
Kit is the standard Jason Markk Quick Clean Kit, not a separate product line.
Why this is supported
the 'Revive' likely comes from the brand's Repel–Revive–Refresh bundle naming, not a separate line.

vs Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
Cheaper for midsoles but can damage foam and is abrasive, unlike Jason Markk which is safer.
vs Dish Soap / Dawn
Common DIY cleaner that works but may not offer the same conditioning or material safety as Jason Markk.

Criticism of Jason Markk's pricing compared to DIY alternatives
All of these shoe companies (Crep/Jason Mark/Reshoevn8r) charge up the wazoo for their cleaners and don’t give you that much, so I looked up what was in them.

Former Jason Markk employee recommends the solution but notes alternatives
Any cleaning solution will do. We only use Jason Markk at the store because it works well and it's made for sneakers. However, when I clean at home or at my dorm and run out of JM solution, I use mild all purpose cleaners for the midsoles and laces. Like dish soap, hand soap, or Simple Green.

Comparison of Jason Markk solution and wipes with Reshoevn8r
The JM solution in the bottles works excellent on pretty much everything. I tried the wipes but wouldn't buy them. I feel that Reshoeven8r is actually a little more potent than JM for actual cleaning but doesn't condition leather as nicely as JM. I think JM has some dry oils in it or some other conditioning agent, just a guess but that's what it feels like.

Jason Markk bottle longevity and effectiveness on white stitching
One bottle of Jason Markk has lasted me a year and a half with about 25% remaining and I clean my shoes almost daily. Some say Dawn liquid dish cleaner also works well but i do not want to risk ruining kicks by being cheap on soap. A few years ago, i would go through a bottle of the foam stuff from footlocker and it would only clean about 4 pairs of shoes AT MOST, so i've found Jason Markk has saved me TONNNS of money(2 bottles of foam stuff a month costs appx $14, so over 18 months thats $252 vs 1 $20 bottle of markk over the past 18 months with more cleans remaining). Jason Markk is also the only cleaner i can find that will clean the white stitching on many of my Jordans.
