Critical review detailing water resistance, durability, and design flaws
Firstly, they're not water resistant. Had a water bottle in there that i pulled from a cooler and shook off -- soacked through to my shirt super quick. They defintely don't stand up to rain as I've pulled some wet dollar bills out of it after getting caught in a downpour while on vacation. the logos and stuff all peel off fairly soon after a couple of wears. The design is flimsy. everything sits in the bag weird. the inside pockets don't hold things well. The 1.5L is basically 1 big pocket - so nothing is organized.

Size comparison showing Kapai 1.5L runs small versus competition
I have Kapai 1.5L and I found that it is just as small as the 1L Patagonia Black Hole Mini hip pack. (As you know, different brands use different methods to measure the volume of their bags). I ended up buying Fjallraven High Coast hip pack which is advertised as 1.5L, but so much roomier compared to my 1.5L Kapai.
