Product Insights

This solid acacia wood console from Canadian brand EQ3 offers a minimalist, architectural look with a deep black matte finish that conceals the wood grain, complemented by an open silhouette without a lower shelf to keep the floor visually uncluttered. Its acacia construction is harder than red oak, resistant to dents, scratches, and moisture, ensuring durability. However, the tradeoffs are that the console provides no storage, wall-anchoring is recommended for tip safety yet no anti-tip hardware is included, and the painted finish requires gentle cleaning with a soft damp cloth only.

Verified claims

  • Comparison of DIY console to original table leg design

The only real difference I see is that your legs have this block shape that goes further down then the one in first pic. The original table had a different design that was level with the apron while yours carries a little further down.

  • Ex-employee vouches for EQ3 frame quality and fabric options

I have a lot of EQ3 stuff as I used to work there. The frames are high quality and should last a long time. Material really comes down to what you want to spend. I think their main selling point is they have a huge amount of fabric options. You can order swatches, and pick a fabric you can afford and feels high quality.

  • Negative experience with EQ3 couch quality and customer service

Some experience. We got the couch in May. Within days the cushions were sagging and clearly were under stuffed. Service has said - she doesn’t work here anymore, its supposed to look like that, the picture on the web is ai generated so of course it’s different, regular maintenance is needed, my manager doesn’t talk to customers, you can return the couch with a 20% restocking fee. All communication is through a generic email address. I’d say the message is “at eq3 you buy, it‘s not right, tough”.

  • Positive sentiment on EQ3 furniture and accessories

I’ve always been happy with EQ3. Even when I don’t need large pieces I tend to gravitate to their small items like placemats. For me, they never disappoint!
