Product Insights
Artza & Co.'s Antica Wallpaper Strip offers a physically embossed canvas texture that conceals wall imperfections and hides panel seams, with a moisture-resistant vinyl surface suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. Its random-match design eliminates pattern waste and allows repositioning during installation, but it performs best on smooth to lightly textured walls, and while it removes cleanly from smooth surfaces, it may pull paint from matte or aged walls.
Verified claims
- Canvas texture
- Physically embossed canvas texture, not a printed pattern, helps conceal minor wall imperfections; the non-repeating weave hides panel seams.
- Moisture resistance
- Vinyl surface is moisture-resistant and suitable for well-ventilated bathrooms and kitchens; avoid direct water spray for best results.
- Pattern waste
- Random-match eliminates vertical and horizontal pattern waste — every inch of width is usable coverage.
- Installation
- The adhesive allows panels to be repositioned during installation.
- Texture compatibility
- Best on smooth to lightly textured walls; heavy textures not recommended.
- Removal
- Removes cleanly from smooth, properly prepared walls, but may pull paint on old or matte surfaces; minor adhesive residue on textured walls or after prolonged use usually cleans with soapy water.
- Flaw concealment
- 6/1000-inch thick adhesive vinyl with textured finish conceals minor wall imperfections.
- Seam hiding
- Non-repeating canvas texture hides panel seams without pattern alignment.
- Coverage width
- Each panel provides a 24.5-inch effective coverage width with no vertical pattern repeat or drop, so full width is usable and panels can be cut to ceiling height without pattern-match waste.
- Texture depth
- Because the canvas weave is pressed into the vinyl rather than printed onto it, the raised threads throw soft shadows and highlights as daylight or lamps move, while a flat printed linen pattern stays visually inert.
- Cleaning
- For routine upkeep, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners, which can dull the matte canvas-like finish and fade the print. Mild soap and water are fine for tougher spots.
