Product Insights
Artza & Co.'s Aeterna Wallpaper Strip (82 CAD, in stock) offers a PVC-free adhesive vinyl with Greenguard Gold certified low-VOC inks, moisture resistance for mold reduction, and a washable, textured surface that covers dark walls. However, its 24.5-inch square pattern repeat demands careful seam alignment during installation, making it less straightforward than an easy-to-apply product, and bathroom use requires smooth, well-ventilated walls.
Verified claims
- Air quality
- PVC-free adhesive vinyl; inks Greenguard Gold certified for low VOCs.
- Moisture resistance
- The vinyl material is moisture-resistant and suitable for high-humidity areas.
- Pattern repeat
- 24.5-inch square pattern repeat; not a random match; motifs recur in a grid.
- Installation
- Installation requires careful seam alignment to match the 24.5-inch pattern repeat, and panels are designed to overlap by about 1/2 inch so each panel yields roughly 24 inches of usable width; an installation guide and smoother are included.
- Bathroom performance
- Approved for bathrooms with smooth, well-ventilated walls.
- Texture and opacity
- The 6-mil vinyl has a slightly textured, canvas-like surface and full opacity that hides dark wall colors underneath.
- Washability
- The canvas-textured vinyl surface is washable with a damp cloth and moisture-resistant.
- Indoor air quality
- The peel-and-stick backing is PVC-free, and the inks are GREENGUARD Gold certified for low VOC emissions.
- Wall surface compatibility
- The adhesive bonds reliably to smooth, clean, dry, dust-free surfaces. Well-cured painted drywall with paint dry at least 14 days is ideal; a light texture such as fine orange peel can work, but heavy textures like stucco, knockdown, and popcorn are not recommended, and existing wallpaper must be removed first.
- Removal and repositioning
- On properly prepared surfaces, the adhesive removes cleanly without damaging the walls, and panels are repositionable during installation as many times as needed to line up the pattern. Removal problems are more likely on textured, dusty, or improperly cured walls.

Covering a wall with botanical Art Nouveau panels
Use these peel-and-stick wallpaper strips to cover a wall area with a lily-filled Art Nouveau design in desaturated tones and a canvas-like texture. The 24.5 inch wide panels are meant to be overlapped, so divide your wall's width in inches by 24.5 and round up to figure out how many panels you need. Each package includes one panel, an installation guide, and a smoother for applying it.[1]
