Product Insights
The Loome Portable Table Lamp by Kooduu merges Scandinavian design, with a lantern silhouette and carry handle, into a strictly indoor portable lamp that offers a 40-hour battery—eight times the runtime of the Menu Carrie—at half the price of a Panthella, yet its 101 lumens and fixed 2700K warm white output limit it to ambient use, the 12-hour USB-C charge requires weekly docking, and the non-removable opal glass shade, which eliminates glare, demands damp-cloth cleaning while the powder-coated steel finish resists chips.
Verified claims
- Design
- Kooduu's Dutch and Danish design roots and the Loome's lantern silhouette, opal glass, and powder-coated steel place it within the Scandinavian design tradition.
- Value
- The Loome's up-to-40-hour battery lasts eight times longer than the Menu Carrie's 5-hour maximum, and it undercuts the Louis Poulsen Panthella on price.
- Durability
- Powder-coated steel finish resists chipping, cleans with mild soap.
- Portability
- Portable inside: carry handle, 40-hour battery, and impact-resistant coating; indoor only.
- Glare
- The opal glass shade scatters over 99% of transmitted light, minimizing direct beam and harsh glare at eye level.
- Shade permanence
- The opal glass shade is not designed to be removed; care guidance is to clean it with a soft damp cloth.
- Runtime
- 40-hour battery provides eight times the runtime of the Menu Carrie.
- Charging
- A full charge takes at least 12 hours via the included USB-C docking station.
- Price comparison

- 101 lumens maximum output and 40-hour battery life suit cozy indoor use.
- Charge time
- Full charge takes at least 12 hours, with no fast charging.
- Weather resistance
- Rated for indoor use only; not suitable for outdoor or covered patio use.
- Shade cleaning
- Shade not removable; clean exterior with a damp cloth.
- Light output
- Maximum output is 101 lumens, suitable for ambient indoor use only.
- Charging station
- The included charging station uses a physical USB-C connection, not wireless (Qi) charging, and works with standard USB power adapters up to 5V 1A; the USB-C charging cable is included.
- Dimming control
- The front dimmer slides steplessly from 0% to 100%, so the light can be dialed down to a low night glow rather than stepping through fixed levels.

| Loome Portable Table Lamp: Choose this if you want a compact, cordless table lamp you can carry from room to room: it has a top carry handle, a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 40 hours depending on usage, and USB Type-C charging with both a cable and a charging station included. Its opal glass shade and powder-coated steel frame give it a lantern-inspired look in a green finish with lime-green handle and base, and front dimmer settings let you adjust the variable-intensity neutral white light (one retailer source lists 2700 Kelvin, so confirm the color temperature if that matters to you). At about 4.75 inches (12 cm) in diameter and 8.25 inches (21 cm) tall, it suits small spaces or tabletop accent lighting.[1,2,3] | Lite-Up Play Mini Portable Table Lamp Jbl Speaker: Choose this if you want a portable table lamp and speaker in one, combining a JBL long-range 8 watt speaker with warm white LED light (3000K) and five dimmer settings, connected via Bluetooth 5.3 with True Wireless Stereo support. Its rechargeable battery offers up to 8 hours of use per charge (up to 11 hours per the manufacturer), USB-C charging with cable included, and a wooden handle makes it easy to carry to set a mood anywhere. Note that one retailer specifies it is intended for indoor or covered porch use only and should be brought inside during inclement weather, while the Simons listing says it suits indoor and outdoor use but recommends storing it indoors when not in use.[5,6,7,8,9] |
