Product Insights
This 45x45 cm throw cushion from Simons Maison offers a faded-look quilted cotton cover that is breathable, soft, and drapable, with reinforced stitching for durability and shape retention. It costs about a quarter of comparable quilts while adding a removable cover, but buyers report significant tradeoffs: the green dye shifts to blue after one wash, front and back patterns differ, and the cover is non-reversible, requiring a solid backing to hide asymmetry. While colors coordinate with Simons Maison duvet covers and blue-toned furnishings, value is debated—$40 is deemed poor for a one-side design, but $9.99 is acceptable. Care demands cold washing, air drying, and avoiding machine-washing the fill; a single hot wash can shrink the cover up to 5%.
Verified claims
- Price competitiveness
- Costs about a quarter of the C&F Home Hudson quilted pillow while adding a removable cover.
- Color coordination
- Buyers report the colors coordinate with matching duvet covers, blue-toned furnishings, and many room decors.
- Colorfastness
- Buyers report the green cover shifts to a blue hue after one wash.
- Reversibility
- Not reversible: buyers report the front and back faces differ.
- Value
- At $9.99 CAD, the cushion undercuts comparable quilted cotton cushions with removable covers, though one buyer still found it expensive.
- Care
- Wash cover cold inside-out; air dry; do not machine-wash fill.
- Breathability
- Cotton cover breathes, keeping it cooler than synthetic during long sitting.
- Color stability
- The faded-look is designed to last, but green variants may turn blue after washing.
- Fabric feel
- The cotton cover has a soft, drapable feel that the quilting does not stiffen.
- Shape retention
- Quilted bands keep fill evenly distributed, avoiding flat spots common in unquilted cushions.
- Texture
- Soft, drapable 100% cotton cover with layered textures from quilting and even fill distribution.
- Durability
- Quilted stitching reinforces fabric, increasing tear resistance and shape retention.
- Wash shrinkage
- A single hot wash can shrink the cover up to 5%, making the cushion visibly smaller.
- Quilting
- Air drying or low heat prevents quilted bands from puckering.
- Pilling resistance
- The quilted construction creates a padded shield that makes the cover less prone to pilling or thinning at contact points.

Coordinating your bedding or living room colors
Shoppers use this quilted, faded-look cushion to tie a room together — reviewers report pairing it with matching Simons duvet covers for a cohesive bedding set, or using it to accentuate a specific color like the blue of an armchair or sofa. Its topstitched stripes and quilted bands complement existing furnishings. Note that the front and back have different patterns, so it can't be flipped for a uniform look from any angle.[1]
Comfortable cushion for relaxing around the house
A soft, faded-look quilted cushion with topstitched stripes and quilted bands that works beyond decoration. Customer reviews describe it as comfortable, making it a good pick for lounging and actual relaxation. Its 45 x 45 cm size and removable cover add everyday practicality.[1]
Freshening up the cover between washes
The cushion comes with a removable, washable cover that unzips at the back, so you can take it off and wash it when it needs refreshing. One caveat: based on a customer review analysis, the green colorway's dye may not be colorfast, and the green could fade toward a bluish tone after a first machine wash, changing the intended look.[1]

| Faded-Look Quilted Cushion With Removable Cover 45 X 45 Cm: Choose this if you want a soft 45 x 45 cm (about 18 by 18 inch) quilted accent cushion with a faded-look pattern that reviewers say pairs well with matching Simons bedding and existing furnishings. It has a removable, washable 100% cotton cover with a hidden back zip, a 100% polyester fibre fill, and is described as comfortable for actual relaxing. Note that the two faces have different patterns so it cannot be flipped for a uniform look, and one reviewer reported the green colorway may fade toward blue after its first wash.[1] | Pure Linen Ruffled Removable-Cover Cushion 45 X 45 Cm: Choose this if you want a 45 x 45 cm (18 x 18 inch) decorative accent with a 100% linen cover, broad ruffled trim, and a removable, washable cover with a hidden back zip — a look the merchant positions as adding subtly rustic, inviting charm, and which customers reportedly enjoyed for its linen texture as a sofa accent. Note the fill is 100% recycled polyester and one reported customer found it underfilled and flat, sometimes needing extra stuffing for plumpness. If you pick the green variant, reported buyers say it looks duller and more muted in person than in the listing photos, and the fabric may pill or snag with daily use in high-touch spots.[2] | Ribbed Chenille Knit Removable Cover Cushion 50 X 50 Cm: Choose this if you want a soft, ribbed chenille accent cushion for a sofa or decor grouping — reviewers rave about the plush, cozy, high-end look, and it even drew compliments as a gift. It measures 20 inches by 20 inches (50 x 50 cm) with a removable, washable cover (85% recycled polyester), a hidden rear zip, and a 100% recycled polyester fill. Note that some reviewers found the yellow reads more beige than expected, the included filling may not give a fully plump look, and this size runs large for standard 16-inch inserts, so measure your insert first.[3] |

Belle couleur.
Le coussin n'est pas pareil sur les 2 faces. Je le trouve plutôt dispendieux.

Comfortable, and looks great with the matching duvet
Dye fades
I bought these in two colours. The green ones immediately faded and looked more blue after 1 wash.
