Product Insights

Yummi Candles' Translucent Floating Candles Set Of 50 provides an affordable, customizable centerpiece solution with 50 white, scentless, dye-free wax candles at $0.40 each that burn cleanly for 4-5 hours without smoke or soot, suitable for events when kept away from drafts. The wax can be tinted with food coloring for a soft glow, and the set avoids the color mismatch issues of colored candles. The main tradeoff is that burn time is moderate, glass containers may develop scorch marks over repeated use, and customer support for order corrections can be slow.

  • DIY wedding with Yummi floating candle sets saves money over renting

I am doing Yummi Candles floating candles sets which come with the glassware and I got a 75 set votive glassware on Amazon. Plus dollar store votives. It’s all coming out to be probably around $500-600 total. So depending on how many candles you’re actually getting you could definitely be getting overcharged.

  • Warning about color inaccuracy and poor customer service

Do not buy from Yummi Candles. I'm now receiving a third shipment of candles from them because the first two shipments are extremely different from their website pictures. I ordered Sandstone (cream/tan color) candles last month and they came in as a dark purple. Over two weeks and 20 emails later, they finally agreed to give me another shipment of candles, but couldn't clarify if the new shipment would be the correct shade of sandstone or dark purple. New shipment comes in... even darker purple.

  • Yummi candles burn cleanly; floating candles are a more affordable option

I've heard the Yummi candles are a really clean burn without these issues which is why I'm also looking into them for our wedding. The pillars are expensive for sure, so I'm thinking to go with floating candles for our centerpieces instead. They are much more affordable.

  • Glass containers may get burned look from Yummi candles

I’ve used Yummi over the years and do find that the glass can get a bit burned looking… however I’m not sure if it was just the colored candles that had that affect, or the white/ivory as well. Might be worth a test run?
