Product Insights
This shower curtain, made from 100% recycled polyester, offers a durable and quick-drying alternative to traditional plastic curtains, lasting 2–3 years instead of 3–6 months. Its low moisture absorption (0.4%) ensures fast drying and water resistance, though the waterproof coating and one-sided print may gradually fade with washing, requiring careful maintenance to prolong lifespan. As an eco-friendly choice, it reduces petroleum use while providing a light ecru fabric that conceals the shower interior, though a liner is advised for total opacity.
Verified claims
- Drying speed
- Absorbs only about 0.4% moisture by weight, so it sheds water quickly and dries fast enough to discourage mildew.
- Coating durability
- The waterproof coating may diminish with repeated washing; following the care instructions for cold gentle washing and tumble dry low helps prolong its waterproofing.
- Lifespan
- Lasts about 2–3 years, while PVC shower curtains typically need replacement every 3–6 months.
- Wash care
- Machine wash cold (no hotter than 30°C) on a gentle cycle inside out; tumble dry low; skip bleach and high heat to protect the coating.
- Print durability
- Harsh washing and high heat can accelerate coating breakdown, which may affect the one-sided print's appearance.
- Material
- 100% recycled polyester is chemically identical to virgin PET and more tear-resistant than PEVA.
- Water resistance
- The fabric is inherently water-resistant due to low moisture absorption; coating may diminish but it still sheds water.
- Eco credentials
- Made from 100% recycled polyester, which reduces petroleum use and is a proven, standard choice for bathroom textiles.
- Privacy
- The light ecru fabric should adequately hide the shower interior; for maximum privacy, a liner is recommended.
- Print side
- The pattern is printed on one side only, which is typical for fabric shower curtains.
- Tear resistance
- The woven polyester construction is more resistant to tearing and folding than PEVA or PVC plastic curtains.
- Patterned Ecru shade
- The Patterned Ecru background is a warm, soft cream rather than a bright white; it has a slight beige/ivory cast and reads as warm off-white against white tile.
- Liner requirement
- No separate liner is required because the waterproof recycled polyester fabric stops water on its own, though some people add a liner to keep the print clean and extend its life.
- Shrinkage resistance
- 100% polyester is dimensionally stable and generally does not shrink; the recommended cold wash plus low tumble dry is chosen to prevent shrinkage or distortion.

Product comparison
Compared within this brand.
| Dachshunds Shower Curtain: Choose this if you want a playful, dog-themed bathroom accent: this waterproof, 100% recycled polyester curtain comes in a pale pink/ecru ground with flat, solid-color dachshund silhouettes in varied earth-tone coats and contrasting collars. It measures 71 inches by 71 inches (180 x 180 cm) in one size, is machine washable and dryable for easy care, and hangs via a folded, stitched top hem with vertical fabric openings for shower rings rather than metal grommets. Note that the listing describes this Patterned Ecru variant only, and the grommet-free top means you will need your own shower rings to hang it.[1,2,3] | Spring Cats Shower Curtain: Choose this if you or the person you're shopping for loves cats: the 71 inch by 71 inch (180 x 180 cm) curtain is covered in an all-over print of small illustrated kittens in playful poses among pink, white, and yellow flowers on a light off-white ground. It's made of 100% recycled polyester, machine washable and dryable, and reviews-analysis summaries report crisp printing, accurate colors, and gift appeal for cat enthusiasts. Note that the fabric is slightly translucent to room light, so a liner may matter depending on your setup.[4,5,6] | Jungle Animal Shower Curtain: Choose this if you want a decorative fabric curtain with personality: an illustrated jungle scene of monkeys, spotted cheetah-like cats, and layered tropical leaves on a pale light blue background, in a 71 by 71 inch (180 x 180 cm) one-size cut. It is 100% polyester with a matte woven texture, rustproof metal grommets, and easy machine care, and one customer review described the vibrant print as making a small bathroom feel cheerful when paired with pale walls. Note that it requires a waterproof liner for use.[7,8] |
