Product Insights
Plush memory foam bath mat from Simons Maison reduces peak foot pressure by up to 50% with a cloud-like feel, while its non-skid backing and stiff, non-curling design provide firm grip on wet floors for safety, especially for elderly users. The main tradeoff is that while the polyester surface dries in minutes, the foam core can stay damp for 6-8 hours, and the non-skid backing seals the underside, slowing drying; proper care (cold hand washing, flat-dry) extends life 40-60% but the mat is not recommended for heated floors due to rubber backing and thick foam. Color accuracy is a concern as black and Mossy Green run darker than online photos, yet at $20 it offers premium comfort and elegant stitching backed by Simons' heritage, making it a value choice for small bathrooms (50×80 cm) where it fits neatly without edge curling.
Verified claims
- Drying
- Surface dries in minutes; foam core stays damp for 6-8 hours.
- Non-skid backing
- Non-skid backing slows drying by sealing the underside.
- Slip resistance
- The synthetic-rubber non-skid backing holds the mat firmly on wet bathroom floors, and buyers report it stays in place.
- Heated floors
- Not recommended for heated bathroom floors due to rubber backing and thick foam.
- Edge curl
- The mat has a stiff, non-curling design that helps it lie flat, and buyers say it is stiff enough to place easily on the floor.
- Cushioning
- Contouring memory foam can reduce peak sole pressure by 35–50% and gives a plush, cushioned feel.
- Value and style
- Offers plush, premium-feel comfort and elegant black/green colors at $20.
- Care
- Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle and dry flat; do not machine dry, as dryer heat can degrade the foam and backing. The foam core can stay damp for hours.
- Washing
- Periodic hand washing can extend the mat's useful life by 40–60% compared with regular machine washing.
- Color accuracy
- Some buyers report the mat can look darker in person than in online photos.
- Safety
- Non-skid backing and stiff construction prevent slipping and curling on wet floors.
- Size
- At 50×80 cm, fits small bathrooms neatly without edge curling.
- Detergent
- Use a mild, pH-neutral liquid detergent rather than powder, bleach, or fabric softener to avoid clogging or chemically damaging the memory foam.
- Material composition
- The bath mat's top is 100% polyester, the interior is polyurethane foam, and the backing is synthetic rubber.
- Review consensus
- The mat holds a 4.7-star average across 45 reviews, with 89% of reviewers giving five stars.
- Absorbency
- The polyester top is quick-drying rather than highly absorbent, so drips tend to sit on the surface briefly instead of being wicked away; heavy or repeated splashing can eventually reach the floor.
- Drying and mildew prevention
- Placing the mat on a dry surface after use or occasionally hanging it helps prevent trapped dampness from turning into mildew.

A cushioned landing for stepping out of the shower
For a soft, secure spot to land after a shower, reviewers say the plush memory foam and non-slip grip combine for a cozy, steady footing on a slippery bathroom floor. Multiple reviewers say stepping onto the thick, plush foam is the highlight of their day, and the retailer notes it feels very soft underfoot and dries quickly after use.[1]
A secure footing mat for slippery bathrooms
This memory foam bath mat is designed with non-skid backing for safety, making it a fit for households where someone is at risk of falls. Reviewers report that it stays firmly in place on wet bathroom floors, with many praising the grip as a key safety feature. For the backing to grip properly and be used safely, the mat should sit on a stable, clean, and dry surface.[1]
Stepping out of the bath onto a cushioned mat
This memory foam mat gives a soft, cushioned spot to step onto after a bath or shower, and the retailer describes it as drying quickly after use. Customer experiences on drying are mixed: some reviewers find it absorbent and quick-drying, while a notable group reports it stays wet for hours, especially in humid or poorly ventilated bathrooms where it can feel damp and squishy underfoot.[1]
Neat coverage for a small bathroom floor
At 50 by 80 cm, this memory foam bath mat fits neatly on a small bathroom floor, and reviewers say its stiffness keeps it lying flat without curling at the edges. Its pattern and deep colors have drawn compliments, though some note the actual shade is darker than online photos — worth keeping in mind if exact color matching matters.[1]
Product comparison

| Memory Foam Bath Mat 50 X 80 Cm: Choose this if you want a thick, cushiony memory-foam landing after a shower: reviewers describe an ultra-cushy, plush feel, and many praise a non-slip grip that stays firmly in place on wet bathroom floors. The 20 by 32 inch (50 x 80 cm) size fits neatly on small bathroom floors, and reviewers report its stiffness keeps it flat without curling at the edges; it is offered in Black and Mossy Green. Be aware that some reviewers find the mat stays wet and squishy for hours in humid bathrooms, and the actual color often appears darker than online photos, which has caused color-mismatch issues for some buyers.[1] | Romantic Flowers Memory Foam Bath Mat 50 X 80 Cm: Choose this if you want a soft, cushiony memory foam bath mat with a romantic floral pattern — small clustered flowers in muted pink, mauve, and lavender on a pale pink-to-cream ground, framed by an olive-green piped edge. It measures 20 by 32 inches (50 x 80 cm), has a non-skid polyurethane foam backing for safety, and dries quickly after use. Note that it must be placed on a stable, clean, and dry surface to grip properly, and care involves washing cold on a delicate cycle and drying flat.[2,3] | Organic Turkish Cotton Bath Mat 50 X 80 Cm: Choose this if you want a soft, absorbent, quick-drying bath mat in organic Turkish-grown cotton (60% organic cotton, 40% cotton) that reviewers describe as plush and silky-soft yet lightweight, and that reportedly holds up to frequent machine washing without shrinking or losing color. It fits standard bathrooms well at 50 x 80 cm (about 19.75 by 31.5 inches) and comes in a wide color range, from Black and White to Golden Yellow. Note that some reviewers found the single mat runs small for oversized tubs or larger bathrooms and wished for a bigger version.[4,5,6] |
