Product Insights
The Black Bamboo Rectangular Laundry Basket by Simons Maison offers a stylish, scuff-resistant black bamboo finish that complements Japandi, rustic, and warm minimalist decor. Its flap lid effectively contains odors, making it suitable for bedrooms and other dry areas. Assembly is tool-free and quick, and users report the finished hamper is sturdy. However, the faux-linen fabric is not water-resistant, so it is best kept in dry rooms and should not be used in bathrooms or exposed to moisture. While it holds a standard load, families may find it fills quickly. Spot-cleaning with a damp cloth is required, and the basket can double as decorative storage in living rooms or entryways.
Verified claims
- Decor style
- Complements Japandi, rustic, and warm minimalist decor styles.
- Scuff resistance
- Black bamboo finish hides scuffs in high-traffic areas.
- Odor control
- Buyers report the flap lid helps contain odors.
- Assembly ease
- Buyers describe the hamper as easy to assemble.
- Sturdiness
- Reviewers describe the assembled hamper as sturdy.
- Water & humidity
- The faux-linen fabric is not water-resistant or treated for humidity; keep the basket in a dry area and avoid contact with water or high humidity.
- Cleaning method
- Spot-clean with damp cloth; do not machine wash.
- Capacity
- Buyers say it holds as much as a regular laundry basket, though one reviewer wished it were larger.
- Multi-room use
- The finished fabric exterior lets the basket double as open storage in living rooms or hallways.
- Japandi accent
- The dark bamboo frame acts as a deliberate Japandi accent in a bathroom.
- Design and finish
- The finished fabric exterior reads as a decorative accent, not just a laundry hamper.
- Assembled dimensions
- The assembled basket measures 24 inches high, 18 inches long, and 12 inches deep (62 x 45 x 31 cm), a narrow footprint that fits conveniently in tight spaces.
- Lid ventilation & damp laundry
- The lid is not vented and seals tightly to contain dry-laundry odors, so let damp items dry before putting them in to avoid mustiness.
- Frame finish color
- The frame is a dark, black-toned bamboo rather than the light natural/tan bamboo look; as real bamboo, it can show slight grain variation that reads deep brown-black in some lighting.
- Liner
- The basket has no separate internal liner; the faux-linen fabric is attached directly to the bamboo frame, so the inside is open fabric.

Keeping laundry odors contained in shared or small spaces
Customers report the flap lid seals tightly, trapping laundry smells — handy when the basket lives in a bedroom, dorm, or other shared space. Note that capacity is standard, so households with high laundry volume may find it fills up quickly and needs frequent emptying.[1]
Stylish laundry storage that fits your decor
Use this rectangular laundry basket to keep dirty clothes tucked away in a bedroom or bathroom without sacrificing the look of the room. Based on customer reviews, its sleek black bamboo finish is seen as a high-end touch that blends into your decor, making laundry storage feel decorative rather than utilitarian.[1]
Product comparison
Compared within this brand.
| Black Bamboo Rectangular Laundry Basket: Choose this for stylish bedroom, dorm, or shared-space laundry storage: it pairs a dark bamboo frame with faux-linen beige fabric, and customer reviews note the fold-over flap lid seals laundry smells effectively in small or shared living spaces. It measures 24 inches high by 18 inches long by 12 inches deep (62 x 45 x 31 cm) and assembles tool-free in minutes. Its capacity is standard, so households with high laundry volume may need to empty it frequently.[1] | Rectangular Bamboo Laundry Basket: Choose this if you need a tall, slim hamper for one person's weekly laundry — reviewers report it holds 5 to 7 days of clothing without taking up floor space, and the solid bamboo slats with matching lid fully conceal used towels and laundry for a tidy, hotel-like look. It comes with a removable 65% polyester and 35% cotton liner that is machine washable (hang to dry), and most reviewers found assembly a matter of popping the slats into place in minutes. Note that it isn't suited to family-size or heavy loads — reviewers report the frame can flex and slats may snap when filled beyond three-quarters capacity — and it should be kept in a dry area, since bamboo can develop mold in humid, unventilated bathrooms.[2,3] | Bamboo Laundry Hamper: Choose this if you want a compact, freestanding hamper that tucks into tight spaces in apartments or small homes while doubling as a decor piece with its natural bamboo frame and warm cream canvas bag, which reviewers say blends into minimalist interiors. It assembles tool-free in minutes, holds a week's worth of laundry per some reviewers, and the machine-washable fabric (hang to dry) has convenient cutout handles. Note that some reviewers found it smaller than expected—so it may fill up fast for large households—and one unit reportedly shipped with cracked wood, so inspect it on arrival if a flawless finish matters to you.[4,5] |

Très beau visuel, parfait pour enfermé les odeurs. Seul petit regret, j'aurais aimé qu'il soit plus grand
