Torso length too long for short torsos causes discomfort
I have the Cotopaxi Batac- it is several inches longer than my very short 15” torso. It’s uncomfortable at the shoulder and it hurts on the hips. Even packed for a 4 day trip I found it awful.

I like my Batac 16 as like a short hike/day hike type of bag, but the small size and narrowness of made it too finicky for travel, for me.

Favorite packable backpack with excellent harness for user's size
my favorite ended up being the Cotopaxi Batac 18. Its a true packable and doesn't have much structure it can be compressed very small and even into its own pocket then folded a few times. In many ways its my ideal packable backpack cause its strap/harness is the best for someone my size.

Laptop carry is poor but great as a gym bag
My Batac 16 barely fits my 15” MBP, and it’s a pain to get in and out of the back sleeve. It’s also incredibly thin, and not comfortable to wear with a laptop in it. That said, I love it for so many other purposes; it’s my daily driver gym bag for running to/from the gym.
