White Clifton 10 Sneakers Women
The HOKA Clifton 10 is a women's neutral running shoe intended for daily training and long-distance easy runs. It combines a jacquard knit upper, reflective details, and a CMEVA midsole with early stage Meta-Rocker technology to encourage smooth heel-to-toe transitions, plus a Durabrasion rubber outsole for traction. Based on user reviews, the current version offers more cushioning and a roomier toe box than its predecessor, making it a common choice for marathon training, though the white colorway requires more frequent cleaning.

Product Insights
The Hoka Clifton 10 Women's sneaker delivers a smooth heel-to-toe transition via its early-stage rocker and 8mm drop, prioritizing stability and comfort for walking and prolonged standing over speed, with a practical pace ceiling of 8:00 min/mile. Its roomier, wider toe box accommodates orthotics and bunions, while the CMEVA midsole provides consistent cushioning for 400-500 miles, outlasting PEBA foams but with less energy return. The 8.8 oz weight (1.5 oz more than the Clifton 9) and women-specific 8mm drop may cause calf strain for forefoot strikers, yet the shoe is clinically rated for walking and provides reliable grip on dry, wet, and packed gravel, though it slips on loose gravel and the white colorway requires frequent cleaning. Buyers switching from Brooks daily trainers find it comfortable for long easy miles.

- Build

- Toe box

- Outsole grips reliably on dry, wet, and packed gravel surfaces.
- Gravel sliding
- Outsole slides on loose crushed rock and is less versatile than the Nike Pegasus 41.

Confort absolu!
Si vous hésitez comme moi entre deux grandeurs , prenez la plus grande!
Le sneaker Clifton 10
Très bonne chaussure de sport. Confortable mais salissante.
Happy with these shoes
I appreciate how the toe box feels fairly roomy without looking super wide at all. Im a size 6 and got a size 6. It has some wiggle room in the length. Not too much though. My stride (walking, I really don’t run as I’m lowkey disabled) feels so smooth with these shoes due to the toes and heels curving up nicely.
Reddit Insights
5 threads · r/RunningShoeGeeks, r/HokaThe Hoka Clifton 10 receives mixed reviews: it offers a plush, comfortable ride for easy runs and walking, but many criticize its outdated EVA midsole, durability concerns, and the controversial changes from the Clifton 9 that have caused discomfort for some users.
Positive feedback highlights the increased cushioning and spacious toe box, making the shoe suitable for slow-paced activities. However, negative sentiment is driven by perceptions of poor value versus competitors, reports of pain and instability, and a strong preference among some for the previous Clifton 9 model.

Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- How does the Clifton 10 compare to the Clifton 9?
- The 10 has more cushion, a roomier toe box, and a higher 8mm drop compared to the 9's 5mm. While some appreciate the updates, others find it too soft and prefer the 9's stability.
- Is the Clifton 10 good for long runs or marathon training?
- Many runners use it for easy and long runs, as it provides ample cushioning for slow paces. However, some note the cushioning can feel dead after 300-500 miles, and it may not be ideal for faster sessions.
- How do I keep the white Clifton 10 clean?
- The all-white colorway requires frequent cleaning; using a stain repellent spray and regular washing helps maintain the look, or consider the grey Cosmic option for lower maintenance.
Compared To
vs Adidas Evo SL
The Adidas Evo SL is frequently recommended as a superior alternative due to its modern race foam at a similar price point.
vs Clifton 9
The Clifton 9 is often preferred for its lower heel drop and grounded feel, while the 10 offers more cushion and a roomier toe box but can feel less stable.
vs Brooks (previous brand)
One runner switching from Brooks found the Clifton 10 to be a decent daily shoe for long easy miles.

Poor value and outdated midsole compared to Adidas Evo SL
These are 160-165€ in my country, which is insane considering the midsole youre getting. The midsole wouldn’t be that big of a problem if these were 120-130€ shoes. For the same price you get full a race day foam in adidas evo SL.

Positive changes: more cushion, roomier toe box
Compared to the 9. More cushion, better fit, more room in the toe box. Do feel a bit faster (not that I really care about that).

Disappointment over changed heel drop
I'm on my 5th pair of Clifton 9s, with some backup pairs behind them. The heel drop is perfect for me. Unfortunately they changed it on the Clifton 10, who knows why.

Suitable for long easy miles in marathon training
I'm a distance runner (currently marathon training) and these are my go-to daily shoes for long easy miles. I've found them to be pretty decent. ( I used to be a Brooks guy).

White color shows dirt easily
Both look great in person, you really can't go wrong. But my all white shoes/slides I just feel like I have to clean every single time I wear them. The grey would be a little better for this.
