Improved fit and rocker design
I went into REI today & saw they have an early release of the Bondi 9. It's great! I tried it on and jogged around for a bit. It has the springy rocker design like some of the other Hokas and the guardrail is gone. It's slightly wider than the 8 and has some give on the side of the shoe for any overhang for feet that are wide in places that shoemakers don't seem to anticipate.

Comfort comparison to competitors
I like the Bondi 9 but if you equate cushioning with comfort the ASICS Gel Nimbus 27 and the Nike Vomero 18 are better IMO. All are great shoes though.

Calf soreness after half marathon
I ran the HM in them right after buying and it did destroy my calves. Must have been trial by fire though because I've had no issues since.

Exceptional comfort for work
These are honestly the greatest shoes I've ever put on. I exchanged them for the Ora Primas only for looks, but the Oras don't compare to the Bondis. I'm going to get the Bondi 9's after another payday. Enjoy! They are like walking on clouds!
