Bou Zebra Print Cardholder
The Bou Zebra Print Cardholder from Ganni is a compact cardholder with a zebra stripe print on cream, engineered from a recycled genuine leather blend and lined with recycled cotton. It offers multiple card slots, a butterfly logo, and includes a signature dust bag, measuring 2.7 inches in height and 4 inches in length. While the Bou line is noted for its design, some reviewers caution that the material is largely synthetic and may age differently than full-grain leather.

Product Insights
The Ganni Bou Zebra Print Cardholder is a bold, sustainably-minded accessory made from recycled polyester and cotton, not genuine leather as sometimes claimed. Its eye-catching zebra print and brand cachet appeal to fashion-forward buyers, but the synthetic material may compromise durability compared to leather. At $190, it competes with genuine leather options from brands like Coach and Furla, yet lacks RFID blocking and cash compartments, limiting everyday practicality. The included dust bag adds a premium touch, but the overall value hinges on whether the design and sustainability justify the tradeoffs in functionality and longevity.

Deep Research
What the cardholder is made of and its eco impact
- The interior is lined with a 65% recycled cotton / 35% organic cotton blend, so both the shell and lining bypass conventional materials entirely; recycled cotton grew to 11% of Ganni's total cotton use in 2024 (up from 2.4% the year prior), underscoring a brand-wide commitment to circularity that extends even to small accessories.
- The main fabric is a 52% recycled polyester / 48% polyurethane blend, placing this cardholder squarely within Ganni's recycled synthetic push — as of 2024, 76% of the polyester the brand uses is recycled (GRS or RCS certified), so purchasing this means supporting a shift away from virgin petroleum-based polyester that dominates the accessories market.

Frustration with synthetic materials in Ganni purse
I was eyeing a Ganni purse as well, then gasp when I saw on description that it is not leather... like why are you expensive then??

Overpriced for the quality and comparison to other brands
I think it's super overpriced relative to the quality of the materials used for the bag. It's made with 65% recycled leather, 19% PU and 16% polyester, so it's essentially one-third plastic. At that price point, you can get much better quality from Coach, Furla or Coccinelle.

Affection for the bag despite material concerns
It sounds like you really like this bag if you bought it twice. For $150 I’d say enjoy it. It will probably last for awhile, not as long as full leather but long enough.
