Miklos Rectangular Reading Glasses
Miklos Rectangular Reading Glasses from Caddis at Simons are reading glasses with a full-rim rectangular frame made of translucent olive-green, high-density acetate derived from biotechnology. The lenses feature scratch-resistant and water/dirt/grease-repellent coatings, and the frame uses 5-barrel industrial hinges; dimensions are 52 mm eye width, 20 mm bridge, and 145 mm temples. User reviews note that progressive-reader versions have a small reading zone and frame edges are engraved with 'PORT' and 'STARBOARD' (which some find unattractive), and the advertised pouch may not be included.

Product Insights
The CADDIS Miklos Rectangular Reading Glasses offer a unisex bold frame with a wide 20mm bridge and adjustable temple arms, ensuring a comfortable fit for both larger and smaller faces, but the reading zone is too small, requiring an upward head tilt, and only +1.5 and +2.0 strengths are available. The durable 5-barrel hinge lasts over eight years and is easily repairable, while the bio-acetate frame is hypoallergenic and comparable to $200+ designer frames, justifying the $160 CAD price. Lenses include scratch-resistant, anti-reflective, and smudge-repellent coatings; care requires mild soap and water. The top edge is engraved with 'PORT' and 'STARBOARD', and the eco-conscious packaging lacks a protective pouch.

The arms were too tight and caused a headache. Loved the shape and style.

Bought these glasses before and I needed to get another pair that wasn’t as heavy

User's detailed experience with Caddis Miklos progressive readers, highlighting pros and cons.
Just got mine today. Very nice frames. Miklos in purple. I am having to tilt my head up to use the reading portion ( I got progressive readers, non prescription). The reading lens part could be bigger. Pulling your chin up to read really makes you look old. Also I did not know the words "PORT" and "STARBOARD " would be engraved on the top edge of the frames in all caps. Besides being ugly, it's just weird. Not cute...maybe some sort of company inside joke? Edited to add: as someone else mentioned, the glasses are in a too-big box inside a slider. Could easily be less packaging. And no pouch.
