Softest Wool Socks Ever
I was so happy I found these socks just as the weather is cooling off. They are very lightweight, but still very warm AND surprisingly soft and smooth for wool. I think it must be the cotton lining because these are not rough or scratchy at all. I also love that they come all the way up to my knees so they keep my feet and lower legs very warm. I have found my new winter go-to socks!

Feet are barely long enough; could be 1/2 cm longer. Socks are tight/loose enough, warm enough, thin enough to fit into shoes.

They are actually 'knee high' not 'mid-calf' as so many other styles claiming the name. They are warm, not itchy, and they stay up without cutting off circulation. They are still nice after a couple of washes.

Favourite winter socks. I have bought these for 3 years now as they are non-binding, not itchy due to a cotton interior and very light, breathable and extremely warm. They do wear out faster but are worth the price. I get the shorter ones to layer inside of booties so my tights do not rub against the sides. Both kinds, knee and short, are excellent.

These are the only socks
These are the only socks I wear in the winter. They are not long-lasting forever tough socks, as they will wear through on the bottoms due to the nature of the fine wool but they are the warmest, most comfortable, non constricting socks I have found anywhere. I buy multiples each season and worth the cost to me in comfort. I even wear them inside the house as "house socks" on cold days.
