Product Insights
Nike's Everyday Plus Ankle Socks 6-Pack is a 34 CAD, six-pair buy — roughly 5.67 CAD a pair — with all six color-and-size combinations (Black, White, or factory-sealed Assorted; Small or Medium) in stock at once and no premium for colorway or size, so price never decides anything and fit and laundering do. The knit is 66% cotton, 31% polyester, 2% spandex: cotton absorbs sweat, polyester moves it outward through permanent capillary action under Dri-FIT, and the midweight terry stays breathable through summer days and sweaty workouts even though the cotton load makes it dry slower than a nylon-heavy athletic sock. The low-cut cuff sits at or below the ankle and disappears inside low-profile sneakers, while the arch band gives a gently supportive, non-constricting hold that keeps the sock seated — comfort ribbing, explicitly not graduated compression, foot-position correction, or structural lift. Cushioning is zonal cotton-poly terry at heel and forefoot, blunting peak impact force by 6.5–30% and tuned for standing, walking, and gym sessions rather than running mileage; the Plus tier buys that dense padding, not a better fabric, where the Regular uses a uniform terry sole. The central tradeoff is lint: cotton keeps shedding, heaviest across the first 3–5 washes before dropping sharply, and the polyester third only slows it — wash inside out, skip fabric softener and dryer sheets (which can raise lint up to 35%), and dry low, since sustained heat above 135°F contracts and weakens the cotton. Sizing is the second risk: Small covers women's 4.5–6.5 and Medium 7–10.5, one knit stretched across a 3.5-size band, so being one size off costs an entire pack. The payoff is retention — cotton recovery plus 2% spandex keeps the knit from bagging, the polyester fraction holds shrinkage inside the labeled shoe-size range, and some buyers report wearing the same pairs for several years.
Verified claims
- Lint / cotton shedding
- Buyers report cotton lint keeps shedding after multiple washes, even inside out.
- Break-in
- Lint is heaviest in the first 3-5 washes and drops sharply after.
- Drying heat
- Dryer heat above 135°F weakens the cotton and increases shedding on every later wash.
- Fabric softener
- Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets, which can raise cotton lint by up to 35%.
- Visibility with shoes
- An ankle-height cuff that sits low and generally stays inside low-profile sneakers, though one reviewer measured the cuff about an inch above the ankle bone and recommends the no-show version for a fully hidden look.
- Support feel
- The elastic edging and arch band form the retention system that keeps the sock seated and helps prevent slipping, bunching, or pinching during movement; the hold is snug but non-constricting.
- Arch support
- Built-in arch support is a snug elastic band around the midfoot, not just a cushioned sole; it is a fit-and-comfort feature, not graduated compression, foot-position correction, or an orthotic.
- Size range
- Small covers US women's 4.5-6.5 and Medium 7-10.5, so one knit stretches across Medium's 3.5-size band.
- Cushioning
- Terry-loop cushioning targets the heel and forefoot, blunting peak impact force 6.5-30%.
- Intended use
- Dense heel-and-toe padding is tuned for standing, walking and gym sessions, not running.
- Wicking
- The 66% cotton absorbs sweat; the 31% polyester wicks it outward via permanent capillary action.
- Drying speed
- The 66% cotton holds sweat, so it dries more slowly than a nylon-heavy athletic sock.
- Breathability
- Despite the midweight terry, the sock remains breathable for sweaty workouts.
- Size choice
- Small covers women's 4.5-6.5 and Medium 7-10.5 at the same 34 CAD, so one size off costs a whole pack.
- Variant availability
- All six color-and-size combinations are in stock at once.
- Variant pricing
- All six variants cost the same 34 CAD, with no premium colorway or size upcharge.
- Construction
- Zonal terry-loop cushioning sits under the heel and forefoot, with a reinforced heel and toe; the rest of the sock is a lighter stretch knit.
- Durability
- Some buyers report wearing the same pairs for several years.
- Lineup
- The Plus tier adds dense heel-and-toe cushioning, not a better fabric.
- All-day comfort
- Repeat buyers wear them all day in summer; they breathe well and sit below the shoe.
- Shape retention
- The knit is 66% cotton, 31% polyester, 2% spandex, and 1% polyamide nylon; the cotton recovery and 2% spandex keep the sock from bagging while the 31% polyester limits wash shrinkage.
- Shrinkage
- The 31% polyester keeps the knit from shrinking below its labeled shoe-size range.
- Laundering
- Dry on low heat: sustained heat above 135°F (57°C) contracts and weakens the cotton.
- Assorted pack
- Assorted is a pre-selected multi-colour mix that cannot be customized; Black or White is the only way to guarantee a single solid colour.
- Lint control
- The 31% polyester slows lint shedding; wash inside out and skip fabric softener to cut it further.
- Options
- Six Black, White or Assorted options in Small or Medium, all stocked at the same 34 CAD.
- Pack value
- Six pairs for 34 CAD works out to roughly 5.67 CAD a pair, with no color or size upcharge

Breathable everyday socks for long days on your feet
These Nike ankle socks are made for all-day everyday wear, with a comfortable stretch knit and a cotton-poly terry underside. Some reviewers say the breathable fabric keeps their feet cool and comfortable through long days, and a few have worn theirs for years without complaints. Note that some customers report cotton lint shedding that can continue even after several washes, leaving residue on feet or in laundry.[3]
Hidden sock look for summer sneakers
Customer reviews describe wearing these Nike ankle socks for summer, when the low-cut design stays hidden inside sneakers for a no-show look. Reviewers say the style pairs especially well with shorts, and the six-pack keeps a rotation on hand.[3]
Cushioned ankle socks for workouts and running
Cushioning under the forefoot and heel is designed to help soften the impact of your workout, including jumps and sprints. A ribbed arch band hugs the midfoot to keep the sock from sliding, and one reviewer reported the sock stayed secure during runs with no twisting or bunching inside the shoe.[1,4,5]

| Everyday Plus Ankle Socks 6-Pack: Choose these if you want cushioned, everyday ankle socks with built-in arch support and a cotton-poly terry underside for all-day wear; reviewers report the low-cut design stays hidden in sneakers and the breathable fabric keeps feet cool. Each pack includes six pairs in Small (shoe sizes 4.5 to 6.5) or Medium (shoe sizes 7 to 10.5), with 66% cotton construction, a reinforced heel and toe, and Black, White, or Assorted color options. Note that one customer reported lint shedding that persisted even after several washes, so durability after washing may vary.[1,3] | Everyday Elevated Ankle Socks 6-Pack: Choose this if you want cushioned everyday ankle socks, with plush cushioning at the heel and ball of the foot, built-in arch support, a cotton-poly stretch knit with a terry underside, and a reinforced heel and toe designed for daily wear. Nike's Dri-FIT technology and full mesh on top of the foot are intended to help keep feet dry and comfortable, and the pack includes six pairs in Small (shoe sizes 4.5 to 6.5) or Medium (shoe sizes 7 to 10.5) across Black, White, and Sand colorways. Note this design replaces Nike's previous DRI-FIT Plus socks: one commenter found the quality still decent but said regular buyers are not entirely happy about the change.[6,7,8] | Everyday Plus Neutral Ped Socks 6-Pack: Choose this if you want a cushioned, mostly-cotton everyday no-show sock for daily wear, with a breathable, not-too-chunky knit that reviewers say works in both warm and cool weather and stays hidden in low-cut shoes. The six-pair pack comes in small (shoe sizes 4.5 to 6.5) and medium (shoe sizes 7 to 10.5), with built-in arch support, a cushioned comfort sole, and black or white color options. Fit security is mixed—some wearers report the socks stay in place while others say they slip, and one reviewer found they may not suit running or sports, so verifying your size matters; one repeat buyer also noted a recent batch felt thinner than earlier packs.[2,9,10,11] |

Old Nike Dri-FIT ankle socks lasted 9 years, new ones are poor quality
I bought these athletic ankle socks for working out in September 2013, as a set of three pairs for $20. These have been used on average about once a week for almost nine years (washed once a week too), and apart from some very light pilling they are still in amazing condition. The ankle support is still there, none of the stitching is loose, not thin and they still fit so snug and never slide under my foot like some others do. I can easily see these lasting for another 5 years at least. If you look at the pictures closely you can see how fine the knitting and construction is, and how well it's still holding up. Last year I started working out more (that darn covid weight), and decided to buy the latest Dri-Fit ones. Sadly after a year of use they look as worn as these nearly 9 year old ones. I inspected those more closely and the construction quality is definitely not there. They don't even label the L and R ones properly.

Difference between Everyday Regular and Everyday Plus socks
Perhaps you have purchased a different variant. There are two of the Everyday Socks - Regular, and Plus. Plus has the DRI-FIT labeling on the toe part, while the regular doesn't. Try checking the cardboard label.
