Product Insights
Sheertex's Really Strong Rip-Resist Tights 30 Denier promise run resistance through a plated nylon/UHMWPE/spandex knit that stops runs from spreading and allows self-repair of small holes, with lab-verified shape retention and a 90-day no-snag guarantee. Made in a vertically integrated, hydroelectric-powered Montreal factory, they are PFAS-free, fully recyclable, and B Corp certified. However, durability varies widely — from years of use to first-wear ripping — and quality consistency is poor: negative reviews are removed, and some pairs feel stiff or wax-paper-like. Buyers report visible jagged seam lines, banding, wrinkling, pilling, and panty seam marks that prevent a smooth sheer finish. Comfort tradeoffs include itching, stiffness, and band marks after extended wear, despite a secure high-rise waistband. Sizing up can reduce ankle bunching and increase opacity, but taller builds must size up to avoid wrinkling, and ankle wrinkling and panty seam marks remain common.

Sheertex ripped on first wear, poor customer service
I bought a pair of sheertex, they ripped while I was putting them on for the first time. For $45 nylons, they are made cheaper than $7 "silks" nylons. I talked to their customer service, no bueno, they wouldn't refund or replace them. I'll never buy sheertex again.

Multiple issues: appearance, quality inconsistency, review censorship, itchiness
I dont like sheertex. At all. 1. They leave a nasty band look all over your legs. It's pretty visible too. It's like jagged sew lines 2. It's a complete gamble from tights to tights when it comes to quality. For example, one pair were fine and the other pair ...the legs of the tights were so stiff, the fabric felt like wax paper 3. I know they monitor their reviews. I gave one pair of tights a 1 star and another different pair/style 4 stars. They deleted my 1 star and they turned off my comment feature on their Facebook page....just for the 1 star (and the review was very honest but not nasty or rude) 4. They itch like hell by the 4 hour mark. Some other brands you can wear em for 12 hours. These tights....you'll be scratching your legs

Quality may have declined in recent years
Yeah maybe! I'm glad they've held up for others. I wonder if their quality has gone down in the past few years, I've seen a few other complaints of the seams ripping like mine did and just generally being low quality out of the box. I should've bought some sooner lol!

Long-time customer notes quality decline but still durable
I'm an OG Sheertex customer. Back when they were insanely expensive and had barely any options. The quality has gone down, but they are still so much better than any other tights I have tried. I am a hardcore tights wearer as I wear skirts year round. My very oldest tights have eventually ripped, but they are years old at that point with hard wear. The material of the newer ones is not as silky or stretchy as the old ones. But they are still durable and worth the investment, especially on sale.

Sheertex held up for years with small non-spreading runs
I got a single pair of Sheertex like 3 or 4 years ago. I mostly only wear them in the fall/winter, but they hold up great! I do have a few small runs, but they don't spread. I love them.
