Product Insights
This stainless steel openwork ring from Simons is gold-plated, waterproof, and won't discolor skin, offering durability at $25 CAD—undercutting similar options. Its one-size (US 7) design cannot be resized due to plating crack risk, but the openwork structure resists bending, slows gold wear, and creates an intentional two-tone effect as plating exposes steel. Cleaning requires mild soap and a soft brush.

La bague est juste parfaite et le fait qu’elle soit ajustable est un gros plus. Je l’adore!

Ross-Simons quality and gold over sterling silver
A lot of their stuff is gold over sterling silver. It clearly says this in the description if this applies to the item. Some things are all gold however, but these of course will be more expensive. All of their pieces are lovely in my opinion. I just got an 18K gold over sterling silver piece for Christmas, and knowing this I will wear it more sparingly, so that it doesn’t tarnish. It’s beautiful though and exactly what I wanted!! I love that I got a gorgeous ring at an affordable price point!

Ross-Simons quality concerns: gemologist verification and durability
DO NOT BUY if you may have something break. I've been buying for years, most of it is good. The gold over silver will turn silver so don't waste your money. My husband purchased a gorgeous sapphire and diamond bracelet for me 4 years ago, had a stone fall out and they said there is nothing they can do. Nothing....even though the exact same bracelet is still being actively sold. Why not keep a customer loyal vs saying the only option is to be a brand new bracelet. I was willing to pay for a repair, sent it in, and it came back with a nope. If all you want is super cheap jewelry that won't last, go for them. I am no longer a customer

Openwork ring gotcha: gunk buildup in open spaces
My only problem with either one is that soap and other stuff gets gunked up in the open spaces. It happens all the time on mine, my wife, and my daughters hoop earrings.

Specific Ross-Simons ring: hollow construction and low value
Based on the listed weight from the link, it could be hollow or a very thin gauge. 2mm is just the width, the weight is 0.7 grams. I agree with you get what you pay for.
