Product Insights
The Simons Classic Headband is a 9 CAD plastic accessory that prioritizes comfort for sensitive scalps, especially fine, thinning, or chemically treated hair, by minimizing snagging and pressure through short teeth, which trade hold strength against slippery hair (remediable with firm-hold product). Its slight flexibility conforms to head shapes but necessitates avoiding aggressive bending and hot water to prevent cracking or warping; cleaning requires mild soap and lukewarm water, and breaks can be super-glued. The 0.5-inch profile enables five styling placements, evoking retro 60s/70s, 90s supermodel, or Y2K looks, and the brand triggers a Mandela Effect memory of Richard Simmons.

Great bandeau
This bandeau is just what I was looking for…..it does not hurt my ears.
love the teeth!
Looked too small but flexible and totally fits, not too tight. Wish the teeth went further down the band to help keep hair in place behind ears as well as over the top.

Jane Fonda Theory for Headband Memory
Theory - The reason so many people picture a headband is because of Jane Fonda. It's just that Fonda's largely been forgotten culturally when it comes to fitness and Simmons is still remembered for fitness. It's one of those weird things that happens. My guess would be the headband migrated over to Simmons from Fonda.

School PE Memories of Simmons Tapes with Headband
I remember the headband and wrist bands. I'm 42 and in grade school p.e. was always exercising to one of his tapes. That or dodge ball.
