Zipper tab can be tucked with effort
Can attest you can put the little flap on the end inside. It takes a bit of maneuvering but it’s doable! I also don’t like the end of the zipper sticking out :)

Two-month wear update for suede version
After two months of wear as go-to bag, it is perfect for me. I don't always go out every day (I work from home) but I do grab it on errands and whatnot. Wear is expected. Suede matted a little, or some of the hairs kind of became stringy and flying away (only if you are looking very very closely with a magnifying glass). These are noticeable on areas with most wear and rubbing. Area where the hardware is rubbing also left a mark. Not a big deal and it is to be expected.
