Product Insights
Somos Sculpted Meanderings Modern Hallway Rug by Simons Maison is a machine-washable runner with a sculpted wave pattern that provides tactile dimension. Its low-pile surface clears standard doors, resists crushing and shedding for 5–8 years, and includes a non-slip backing for safety on hard floors without a separate rug pad. The 100% polyester pile retains the sculpted pattern after washing, resists stains, and vacuums cleanly. However, its washability is limited to compact washers (2.4–3.4 cu ft) and caution is needed with top-load agitators, trading easy cleaning for careful machine fit.

Adding sculpted wave texture to a hallway or interior
A runner for shoppers who want a hallway rug with tactile, sculpted interest rather than a flat print: broad waves are sculpted directly into the velvety fibre, in a motif the merchant likens to the meanderings of a river or a topographical map. Simons describes the look as bringing refined charm, graceful movement, and a sense of serenity to the space.[1,2]
Lining a long hallway or bedside walkway
At 80 x 245 cm, this long narrow runner suits hallways and bedside walkways on hard floors. Its non-slip backing is described as safe, though the listing recommends adding a rug pad for greater safety. Being machine washable also makes it a practical pick for spots that see daily foot traffic.[2,3,4]
Low-maintenance care for a busy hallway
For hallways that see daily foot traffic, this machine washable runner is designed to be easy to care for. Simons describes it as easy-care and non-shedding, so upkeep can be as simple as tossing it in the washing machine when it needs a refresh.[2]
