I can't have had a more opposite CDLP experience. I have the boxers, not the boxer briefs, but they've been great. The fabric feels better than competitors roughly in their price bracket that I have experienced (Lululemon, Mack Weldon primarily), and I have gone through a couple dozen washes now without any visible breakdown.

Had them, loved them, hated them... Had them since they launched too when they only did underwear. Really cool brand, although looking at their new stuff after they've branched out form just underwear I do not understand who they think they are charging so much for such basic things. They are comfy, come out the box and feel amazing... winner right? I have their briefs, a lot of them. Notice they do a three month subscription at a discounted price, there's a reason. They are absolute shite quality. On almost every pair the elastic has come out, started to thin and just generally looked scruffy after washing them. Now I gave them the benefit of the doubt that id maybe been washing them too hot, so ordered more (because they're comfy and look good) and washed them separately because they are expensive... same thing happened. Then on so many pairs the same thing happened again and again, the material went thin, easily had small holes in them and on either side where the front and back meet, split and stitching came undone. I did complain and they sent me 6 pairs for free which I thought was pretty cool but again the same problems. Their lifespan is about 3-4 months, possibly they know this hence the subscription idea? Complained again and got a 30% off code that im yet to use, fed up of the poor quality. Picked up some Nike briefs cotton Jersey, £30 for three pairs, had them 8 months and they're still like new.

CDLP elastic fails consistently despite gentle washing and wash bags
I tried everything with the CDLP pairs: lower than recommended temperatures, lowest spinning speed my machine supports (IIRC 400 rpm), gentle – even delicate – cycle and – of course – using a washbag, but nothing ever could keep the elastics intact, no matter the batch and even generation of the underwear. It was only through reddit that I learned that other customers experienced exactly the same and I wasn't stupid – which I should have known beforehand since I never had an issue with any other garment, but if things go wrong like they did with the CDLP stuff, you start to doubt yourself.
