Silky Jersey Low-Rise Brief Lyocell
This CDLP low-rise brief is a men's underwear garment made from a soft, stretch lyocell-blend jersey with a smooth, slightly shiny finish and is double layered at the front. Designed for everyday wear, it features a thick elastic waistband with embossed CDLP branding, a low-rise fit, and narrow elasticized leg openings, and is made in Portugal. Consumer feedback indicates the fabric is comfortable and comparable to higher-priced competitors, though some users report durability issues such as elastic fraying and premature holes after washing.

Product Insights
CDLP's Silky Jersey Low-Rise Brief Lyocell is a single-pair, one-flat-price-across-sizes 9.99 CAD lyocell/spandex brief whose core promise is a silk-like 95% TENCEL lyocell and 5% spandex jersey that absorbs about 50% more moisture than cotton and releases it faster, glides over skin at roughly half cotton's surface roughness, and drapes like silk, moving with the body rather than holding a flat, boxy shape. Its fit is a hipbone low-rise, not a sizing fault: it runs true to size against a waist-based chart, with sizing up advised only between sizes, and the waistband holds through everyday movement without notable slipping. The design is a closed two-ply front with no fly, offering flat modesty and light coverage rather than a structured pouch; this double-layered front is the main tradeoff, running warmer, holding moisture, and drying last, so the brief is built for daily wear, sleep, and hot weather rather than high-intensity workouts, where it can saturate and stay wet. The encased waistband elastic can fray and poke through after repeated washing, and the 9.99 CAD buys one brief—not CDLP's roughly $125-150 three-packs—so the clearance value is in the single-pair format, not a lower grade of goods: the same wood-pulp lyocell is knitted from certified TENCEL fibre and made in Portugal at a family-owned, third-generation mill; it is currently out of stock and has 1 review.

| Silky Jersey Low-Rise Brief Lyocell: Choose this if you want a low-rise brief that sits below the natural waist on the hips, with high-cut leg openings, a contoured front pouch, and a smooth single rear panel. Its 95% lyocell and 5% spandex stretch jersey has a silklike feel, per one reviewer, with a thick, shiny waistband and subtle same-color embossed logo, and it is made in Portugal in sizes small through x-large. Note that the silklike hand-feel is a reviewer's characterization rather than a verified specification.[1,2,3,4] | 2.5" Ultra-Fine Trunk Tencel™ Lyocell: Choose this if you want a minimalist, low-rise trunk with a very short 2.5-inch inseam, made from ultra-fine TENCEL™ Lyocell jersey (95% lyocell, 5% elastane) with a smooth matte look, double-layered front, shaped pouch, and no visible logo on the exposed front. It comes in Black, Blue, and Navy/Midnight Blue across sizes SMALL to X-LARGE. Note that one reviewer reported the elastics failing across batches and generations despite careful washing (gentle and delicate cycles, low spin, washbag), a problem other customers reportedly experienced as well.[5,6,7] |

Amazing fabric
Worth the extra money. Stellar comfort for a brief. Hold everything without right without feeling restricted.

Positive long-term experience with CDLP boxers
I can't have had a more opposite CDLP experience. I have the boxers, not the boxer briefs, but they've been great. The fabric feels better than competitors roughly in their price bracket that I have experienced (Lululemon, Mack Weldon primarily), and I have gone through a couple dozen washes now without any visible breakdown.

Durability issues with elastic poking and holes after long-term wear
I’ve been wearing CDLP for at least 2 years and note a few issues with little elastic bits poking through fabric, but ai can’t feel them. A few pairs have developed holes rather quickly too.

CDLP boxer shorts used for sleeping, appreciated for comfort
I use CDLP’s boxer shorts for sleeping in. Very comfortable and would say the quality is good.

Elastic durability problems persist despite careful washing
I tried everything with the CDLP pairs: lower than recommended temperatures, lowest spinning speed my machine supports (IIRC 400 rpm), gentle – even delicate – cycle and – of course – using a washbag, but nothing ever could keep the elastics intact, no matter the batch and even generation of the underwear. It was only through reddit that I learned that other customers experienced exactly the same and I wasn't stupid – which I should have known beforehand since I never had an issue with any other garment, but if things go wrong like they did with the CDLP stuff, you start to doubt yourself.
