Product Insights

Archies Arch Support Beach Sandals are physiotherapist-designed with podiatrist input over five years, featuring a built-in 2.2 cm arch support that relieves plantar fasciitis pain, endorsed by the fact that around 90% of wholesale buyers are health professionals. The core promise is an accessible, lightweight, water-resistant sandal with clinical-level arch support at half the cost of orthotic competitors ($50 CAD). The main tradeoff: while buyers report plantar fasciitis relief, the support is moderate (not medical-grade), the fit is narrow with a break-in period, straps may stretch over time, and prolonged use or severe PF may require more substantial support.

Weight
Archies are lighter than Oofos, giving a less substantial feel preferred for all-day wear.

Severe plantar fasciitis may need more support than Archies offer.
Portability
Lighter than Oofos and orthotic sandals, packs flat, with 2.2cm arch support.
Use cases
Buyers report plantar fasciitis relief and short-term use, but caution against long walks.

  • Long-term user praises Archies for arch support and durability

They are super solid and saved my feet. I've had mine for... Two years now I think? Still solid, still have arch support.

  • User with wide feet and high arches finds them lifesaving

They're great sandals! I have wide feet with high arches and they're a lifesaver - really great orthopaedic shoes. Have a couple of them for inside the house and outdoors.

  • Plantar fasciitis sufferer finds relief with Archies after trying 3 pairs

Have owned 3 pairs over the past several years and I love them- they’re the only flops that haven’t given me terrible heel pain due to plantar fasciitis. I have a super high arch and these support it well. Also have a wide foot. They do take a little bit to break in, but the straps are easy to move if you have a bunion or tender area. Agree the price is kind of wild for a rubber flip flop, but I wear them every day at least 6 months out of the year and they have held up very well.

  • Moderate support: better than cheap flip flops but not a replacement for recovery slides

I have Archie’s. They are certainly better than Old Navy as there is a little arch support and they are a little thicker/sturdier. But they are no where near recovery or PF specialist slides. I still wear them but in rotation with other flip flops and slides.
