Product Insights
Tom Ford's Jeffrey Aviator Sunglasses ($425 CAD) are hand-assembled Italian acetate frames with color-infused material that develops patina over time, featuring a precision recessed metal T inlay distinguishing authenticity. While hypoallergenic and optician-adjustable for a custom fit, the 59mm lens and 14mm bridge suit medium-to-wide faces, and repairs require factory service. Despite recent build quality concerns, the metal logo inlays are durable; overall value matches Ray-Ban but with tradeoffs in durability.

Concise opinion on Tom Ford sunglasses' value and longevity
Quality wise, they’re just not worth their price. If you like the style, go ahead and get them. Don’t expect them to last longer than 2-3 years.

Extreme discomfort despite loving the look
I got a pair a few weeks ago, and though I love how they look, they’re the most uncomfortable frames I’ve ever owned in 50 years of wearing glasses. Have gone through 3 adjustments to try to make them wear better, but it’s time to swap them out. I’m unwilling to suffer for fashion.

Comparison of Tom Ford quality to mass-produced brands
They're perfectly adequate if you like the designs, but the quality's comparable to any other mass-produced brand like Ray-Ban. (Yes, I know RB is Luxottica and Tom Ford is Marcolin; doesn't make the end product all that different.) Personally, I find them overpriced for what you get and would be happy to recommend an alternative if you had a particular design in mind.

Direct statement on recent drop in Tom Ford quality
Yes, they have gone down in quality in the last 3-4 years. They really aren’t worth their price.
