Product Insights
The Etched-Stripe T-Shirt, a $99 CAD exclusive from Robert Barakett, debuts a physically debossed stripe that preserves breathability and softness, with a silk-like luster and moisture-wicking climate control. However, despite its initial luxurious feel and Pima cotton softening, the shirt shrinks in length, width, and collar even with cold wash and hang dry, buyers report rapid wear within months and quality decline from earlier batches, the fit is slimmer regular and inconsistent across batches, the collar deforms after washing, and at a 25% premium over a standard version without fabric upgrade, the rapid wear reduces long-term value, with texture lessening and luster increasing over time while newer runs have cheaper fabric.

Quality decline and inconsistent sizing in Robert Barakett t-shirts
Their quality has gone down. The fabric feels completely different. It feels cheaper, I don't know how else to say it. As for the cut/size, it's completely different from ones I got years ago. They were one of my favorite plain tshirts. Now it's time to find another brand :/

Robert Barakett tee worn out quickly; switched to BYLT
I got a Barakett t-shirt and did love it, but it got worn out quickly for me. I personally think BYLT (which is my go-to basic t-shirt brand now) make much higher quality t-shirts for a cheaper price (you can get them for about 20 each on sale). They fit me better too and haven't shrunk on me.

Robert Barakett shirts lose shape and shrink despite careful care
RB shirts hold up terribly. So frustrating - they look and feel amazing at time of purchase. I even hang dry and they still shrink and lose the collar etc
