You probably got one of their lightweight tshirts, they can be pretty thin but they’re built for heat dispersion. They have lots of heavyweight tshirts and all cotton shirts. Look for the original fit, not the force category shirts.

Quality decline in newer Carhartt pocket tees
The newer shirts are clearly thinner. I ordered several from Amazon, had to send two back for replacements. One had a bad place in the cloth, another had the patch on the pocket sewn on at a slant. QC has definitely slipped in recent years. I’ll be moving on to Ariat or Dickies.

New Carhartt Loose Fit criticized for being larger and lighter material
I've bought Carhartt Original fit , mens T shirts for years. Just received the new Loose fit which claims to be the same as original fit. It's not. It’s made to fit men with bigger stomachs and waistlines. Also the material is lighter than the Original Fit T-shirts. I'll be looking for a better quality T shirt now for guys that are not overweight. If you're “overweight” or fat the newer Carhartts will be right for you.

Carhartt Force pocket tee review: fit, use, and pilling
I wore the previous styles of Force pocket shirts in both [short-sleeve](https://dungarees.com/carhartt-100410-force-short-sleeve-pocket-t-shirt) and [long sleeve](https://dungarees.com/carhartt-100393-force-long-sleeve-pocket-t-shirt) on many summer hikes before my injury. I liked them a lot. They are Relaxed Fit as opposed to the Loose/Original Fit of the K87 so they do fit more snugly. They’re also thinner and have definitely kept me cooler than any of my 100% cotton t-shirts.
