I honestly hate the collars on them; they have a terrible roll and are very short. The quality isn’t terrible, though. I will say to watch out for which shirt you’re buying, as well. If it has a brown horse, it’s pre-shrunk and treated. A solid-color horse means that the shirt is untreated, non-shrunk, and must-iron.

Classic fit vs Yarmouth fit comparison
The Yarmouth is quite a bit wider in all areas chest, sleeve, and waist. It is very much a full cut shirt. The classic fit, while roomier than a slim fit, is nowhere near as full cut as a Yarmouth.

Ralph Lauren clothes are timeless and great quality, for the most part...it’s like buying an expensive pair of shoes. You get what you pay for. Either you’re replacing your entire wardrobe every year when buying cheap clothes, because they either wear down or go out of style, or you have clothes that last a long time and are always going to be in style.

Versatility of the garment-dyed oxford shirt
Polo Ralph Lauren Garment Dyed Oxford cloth shirt in White and Bastille Blue, the design fits right where you’re looking in terms of formality. Not too long, button down collar but it’s on the smaller side so it doesn’t prescribe a necktie at all. If you’re wearing a suit, put on a dressier shirt, but you could wear one half buttoned to the beach with swim trunks, button it all the way up and throw on pants and a sport coat and it would look natural all the way.

Garment-dyed oxford durability and summer use
For RL, the enzyme washed or the garment dyed Oxford button downs are great. But then a size up from your “skinny fit” numbers and just wear the hell out of them. They just get batter and better and better and until they die and that can take a decade of regular wear if you don’t tear it in a place you cannot mend.

Garment-dyed oxford features: custom fit, dye, texture
1st one is custom fit, which is a silhouette that is somewhat slimmer than classic . it’s also garment-dyed, so it will age somewhat uniquely, & some dye may rub or run off . shirt is 100% cotton . i own a few RL oxfords & would assume this one would have a similar texture, thicker than a dress-weight with a slightly fuzzy & soft touch .
