Product Insights
The Timex Q Continental GMT Watch revives the 1972 Q Timex design with an integrated bracelet, tonneau case, and fixed bezel, offering a caller GMT that tracks only two time zones, ideal for monitoring a second zone from home rather than frequent travel. Co-branded with Simons, it delivers a deep green guilloché dial and premium unboxing in a signature storage case, all for 269 CAD—prompting buyers to question spending on a Rolex. However, the integrated bracelet prevents strap swaps, lacks micro-adjustment, and pulls arm hair, while the QUARTZ text on the dial polarizes; the silent quartz movement and luminous hands aid daily use, but battery replacement requires a watchmaker.

Beautiful Timex release compared to luxury watches
Such a beautiful Timex release. To each their own but every time I look at the Rolex I want, I just can't justify spending 13k on jewelry.

Critique of the hair-pulling bracelet
The finest shitter to be made. They made this in partnership with Gillette to incorporate the hair pulling bracelet

Positive feel on wrist
Just got one yesterday, been wanting an integrated watch for some time and it feels great on my wrist.

Explanation of GMT function type
It’s just a caller, I guess. Not seen a Timex with this setup before. If you like GMTs the Q three time chronograph is worth a look. I got two of them recently and they are becoming my favourites. They act more like traveller GMTs if that’s what you are after. I also have the Pan Am GMT (caller) and that’s a lovely looking watch.

Limitations of the integrated bracelet
The part you’re missing is that this watches uses an integrated bracelet. Meaning it will only accept straps or bracelets made specifically for it. You’d have to contact Timex or check the website to see if they offer alternative options for this watch. Your only other options will be to buy a generic strap and somehow cut it to fit the lugs, or have one custom made.
