Product Insights
The Lojel Cubo Small Lightweight Carry-On Luggage (490 CAD, in stock) offers a trunk-style opening that requires half the floor space, enables upright loading with magnetic front access, and reduces unpacking footprint—though some travelers prefer clamshell organization. Its TPE wheels are non-hydrolyzing, quiet, flexible in all climates, provide high traction on smooth and wet surfaces, roll smoothly on cobblestone and concrete, and are replaceable with repair kits. Surface scuffs on the matte shell can be wiped away with isopropyl alcohol. The removable, machine-washable liner uses 80% less water and contains 50% recycled polyester without color transfer or fading. Expansion improves weight-to-volume ratio from 0.20 to 0.18 lbs/L, beating fixed-capacity competitors; at 37L (9.75 in) it fits most airlines, but at 42L (11 in) it exceeds strict limits. Buyers report multi-trip durability, smooth wheels, and minor scuffs, positioning it as a lighter durable alternative to Briggs & Riley for hundreds less, though Lojel's service reputation is inconsistent.

Smooth wheels and durability on Lojel Cubo Small and Fit after 7 trips
Anecdotal experience from me, but I have nothing but good things to say about my Cubo Fit and Small on my 7 trips so far with them. Zippers have been smooth for me, wheels have been brilliant on cobblestone, concrete, and normal floors. I actually had to run my ass off for like 500 meters to catch a flight, and the wheels on both pieces were so smooth that they didn’t slow me down at all. Have some minor scuffs on them, but that’s to be expected. Idk, maybe I got really lucky with my purchase.

Lojel Cubo Small reviewed as a durable carry-on with excellent capacity and trunk design
I own both the Lojel Cubo small and fit, previously used a discontinued set of hard-case luggage by incase, but it's pretty standard hard-case roller sorta vibe. I travel extensively both for work and leisure and can say these bags can take a beating like no other. I have had them for almost 2 years and aside from a few scuffs, they're just as good as the day I got them out of the box. The best part about the Cubo is they're trunk style, meaning they only have one pocket with large interior cavities, which makes for way easier packing than clamshell-style suitcases. The expanders help, but honestly, I rarely need them. The small is perfect for carry-on, I can fit about a week's worth of clothes with an extra set of shoes, great for work trips. The fit is really large. I hardly ever fill the thing up to the brim. I can easily fit 3+ weeks' worth of clothing and 3 pairs of shoes with room to spare. It is also very light, I am almost always under 40lbs. The fit is also a bit more "cube" which makes it distinct at baggage claim.

Satisfaction with Lojel Cubo Small after one long-haul trip, compared to Briggs & Riley
So far pretty happy with it but have only used it in one long haul trip. Briggs will always be Briggs. That was what I was eying on but could not justify the price for a carry on.

Comparison: Lojel Cubo Small vs Monos Carry-On Pro – Monos preferred for better internals
I ended up getting the mono carryon pro on sale and I also got an always carryon this year. I gotta say in terms of the components on the insides, the compression divider, and buckle and the fabric and color of the lining, Monos’s quality is better and less flimsy… and with both on sale it’s only 10ish dollar more. Always bag also didn’t come with a baggage tag either? Which is weird. The wheels are comparable as long as you don’t put too much weight on them. I haven’t had a scenario where I wish I had a front open suitcase like the lojel. Like if I have something I might need easy access to, I’d just put it in my backpack if it doesn’t fit into the front pocket of the monos. If I have to open the bag up for TSA or something, I’d have to open the whole thing up anyway. Hope that helps.
