Ochre Gingham Tablecloth
This is an ochre and white gingham tablecloth made from high-quality recycled cotton, designed to fully cover a round table with soft draping folds and a stitched hem. It is intended for tabletop dining use and is machine washable and dryable. Note that the fabric shrinks after the first wash, so it is intentionally made slightly oversized to reach standard dimensions once laundered; matching napkins are sold separately.

Product Insights
At $30 and in stock, the Ochre Gingham Tablecloth from Simons Maison turns a warm, woven ochre gingham into a two-season workhorse: its golden-honey checks on ivory read as neither mustard nor burnt orange, pair naturally with wood, rattan, and ceramics, and are meant to be the room's only pattern for fall/Thanksgiving and spring/Easter tables, including weeknight meals and as a cover on glass tops. The 100% reprocessed cotton is heavyweight and drapey enough to skip an underpad, and because the checks are yarn-dyed, the pattern cannot crack or peel with washing. The tradeoff is shrinkage and upkeep: first-wash length loss can reach 10 inches even air-dried, the cloth wrinkles like ordinary cotton, and despite an easy-care label it needs pressing before first use and after every wash, so buyers advise ordering substantially larger—or skipping—if post-wash fit must stay on the table. Sizing also complicates value: the 65-inch round is a rarity for round tables and drops 10 inches on a 45-inch top; the 58-inch square drops 6 inches on a 46-inch top and 12 inches on a 34-inch card table; and rectangles jump from 76 to 96 inches with no intermediate length. The standout is the 65x96 rectangle, which delivers roughly 85% more fabric than the 58-inch square for about 67% more money, making it the coverage-per-dollar pick.
Verified claims
- Shrinkage
- Reviewers report losing up to 10 inches of length on the first wash, even when air-dried.
- Sizing
- Some buyers report that a size that fits before washing can come up short after first-wash shrinkage, and the next rectangular size up may be far too large for the table.
- Care
- Buyers report the cotton cloth wrinkles in the wash and needs pressing despite the easy-care label.
- Ironing
- Requires ironing before first use and after every wash for a crisp finish, despite the easy-care label.
- Drape
- Drapes and covers a table without an underpad, but wrinkles like ordinary cotton.
- Table drop
- Drops by size: 65-in round 10 in. on a 45-in table; 58-in square 6–12 in.; 58x76 rectangle ~11 in.
- Size value
- Best value is 65x96: ~85% more area than the 58-in square, while the 65-in round gives ~25% less top than 58x76.
- Color cast
- Checks read warm golden yellow, not deep mustard or burnt orange; pale squares read soft ivory.
- Pattern durability
- Gingham is yarn-dyed and woven, so repeated washing should not crack or peel the checks like a printed pattern.
- Décor pairing
- Golden tone suits both spring and fall, pairing naturally with wood and rattan.
- Material
- 100% reprocessed cotton, woven with the dye in the yarns rather than printed
- Styling
- Pairs naturally with light timber, rattan, ceramics and woven placemats, held as the room's only patterned textile.
- Use cases
- Buyers use it for everyday meals, fall and spring holiday tables, and lay it over glass tops to keep them clean.
- Table fit
- Round 65-inch drops 10 inches on a 45-inch top; rectangular lengths skip 76 to 96 inches, with no middle size.
- Dining use
- Buyers say it polishes weeknight tables without an underpad and use it on glass tops instead of a glass cover.
- Seasonal use
- Owners set it out for both autumn/Thanksgiving and spring/Easter tables, so one cloth spans two seasons a year.
- Hand feel
- Buyers report the recycled cotton is heavyweight and drapey, not a visible downgrade.
- Size options
- The 65-inch round is a rarity for round tables, while the 65x96-inch rectangle is the coverage-per-dollar pick.
- Drop fit
- The 58x58-inch square drops about 6 inches on a 46-inch top and 12 inches on a 34-inch card table.
- Length ladder
- Rectangular lengths step 76, 96, 115 and 135 inches, with no intermediate size between 76 and 96.
- Coverage per dollar
- The 65x96-inch cut supplies roughly 85% more fabric than the $30 58-inch square for about 67% more money.
- Wash and dry
- The tablecloth is machine washable and tumble-dry safe.
- Post-wash dimensions
- Exact finished dimensions aren't published, but working from the 4–6% first-wash shrink, approximate post-wash sizes are: 58x58 in about 55x55 in; 58x76 in about 55x72 in; 65x96 in about 62x91 in; 65x115 in about 62x109 in; 65x135 in about 62x128 in; and 65 in round about 62 in round.
- Shrinkage control
- To stay near the intended 4–6% first-wash shrink, air dry or tumble dry on low only, and wash in cold or lukewarm water on a gentle cycle; avoid hot water and high heat.

Perfect!
Difficult to find round tablecloths these days! Was so happy to come across this one. It's a perfect colour for fall and such great quality for a great price

Beautiful and brightens up the grey rainy days of spring 🌼
So great that I bought a second one
Really excellent quality. Beautiful, heavy fabric. Nicely sewn. Terrific price. Based on this experience, Simons will be the first place I look when I need new linens.
Shrank a lot in the wash
I bought the size that easily covered my table. I opened the package and put it on my table, it was perfect. I threw it in the wash and hung to dry and it shrank about 10 inches and no longer fits my table. Super frustrating.
65" Round tablecloth
I love my new tablecloth. Great for a casual setting.

Perfect size for 48 inch glass table. And way easier to keep clean than glass.
Oui mais…
Elle doit être repassée après chaque lavage. Je n’ai jamais vu un coton friper autant !!!

Great colour
Lovely tablecloth
Great quality. Beautiful colour-a golden yellow gingham. Fabric washed and ironed well. Fabric has a nice weight to it and drapes well.
Très belle qualité.
J'aime beaucoup ma nappe. Soyez cependant conscient qu'elle doit être repassée.
recycled pop bottles.
A good size. I didn't know about the recycled pop bottles as ingredient. Not what I would have picked for the price. Also, I thought the colour would be a brighter yellow, although the description said "ochre".

Nappe vichy ocre
