And they hold hot liquids just as well as cold ones! I use them for tea (fresh mint tea looks great when served in these glasses) and the SO drinks his soda from them. Bought 6 of these glasses, about 4 years ago and they have survived many washings. (We dont have a dishwasher)

I’ve had mine about two years and have no problems to report, definitely had one of mine survive a drop from the worktop to wooden floors. And they’ve definitely been more robust in the dishwasher/under general use than my cheap Ikea glass I had previously. Edit: realised I bought mine towards the end of 2022

Comparison between Duralex and Bormioli Rocco glassware
Bormioli has been around a lot longer than Duralex and doesn't appear to have the same financial issues. I've read the Duralex production seems off at times with some glasses being more susceptible to breakage than others, although this may just be people with unrealistic expectations.

Yes the marking evolved. Most have a number like in the 1st picture "33", some don't. When I was young we used to say the number was our mental age. Some glasses had no number this is how I remember that they don't all have the same marking pattern. Same with the size.

Customer reports quality issues with recent Duralex Picardie purchase
Duralex customer service got back to me and I have to say that I am disappointed in the response. There was no recognition that the issue is (or even possibly could be) production related. They stated they believe the damage was caused by chipping ("Duralex is a tempered glass and is chip resistant not chip proof") but I really don't believe that to be the case. Apart from the marks not being consistent with chipping (in my experience), there were not any glass shards in the packaging that I saw. The pictures of the bubbles weren't acknowledged. They offered to send me up to 3 replacements but, since more than three of the 18 are defective I am sending them back. Despite this, I am going to try one more time with Lee Valley.

Got a set of their Picardie glasses (the ones pictured above) as a wedding present a decade ago and still use them every day for everything from water to wine to whiskey to (hot) coffee and tea. Have also used them for ice cream, trifle, and as tea light holders. Highly recommend!
